anyone else keep losing their bb connection with talk talk???

Perhaps an obvious question but have they done a line test?
Although I am not with TT I do have a lot of noise on the line due to some old dodgy internal wiring which I am in the process of sorting out. My ISP has been very helpful in working this through with me.We all evolve - get on with it0 -
happens to me once in a while; and also i sometimes lose my phone connection: when i pick up the receiver the line is 'dead' (no tone and so cannot make or receive calls:mad:BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

i dont lose my phone connection. My adsl remains on or flashes some of the time, but i lose my internet light a lot. I ave rang them so many time that they have changed my speed to a lower setting of 4MB and apparently put me on a better noise quality setting at their side. I have done everything i can think of my side.0

If TALKTALK_SUPPORT is there please note i have logged various complaints with you and non seem to have been resolved. i am still suffering problems and since talking to a 2nd line agent last week seem to bet getting eratic problems leading to my ADSL light dropping every so often meaning i am losing connection every so often, plus a lottery if i can be connected in the evenings.0

Have you tried connecting to the test socket behind the master socket faceplate? (simply remove two screws) You need to eliminate any extension wiring after the master socket. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

we dont have a test socket behind teh master plate..just a standard BT socket..
So have you tried plugging straight into your master socket with nothing else connected? Internal wiring, extensions and other devices can cause problems. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
My connection keeps disappearing too. It also seems to be at what I imagine to be busy times (late afternoon until late evening). I get a variety of error messages (721, 734, invalid password etc.) but it usually connects after a couple of attempts.
I've never really tried to solve the problem - I've always assumed it's something they do to solve contention problems.0 -
We suffered this problem for a LONG time before we gave up on Talktalk - after dealing with their moronic tech support several times we finally leaft (before end fo 12 months) for madasafish - no problems and intelligent tech support!
Sadly Talktalk tried to charge us a leaving fee until we started quoting their own contract to them about failure to supply service and if they didn't immediately cease trying to extract this money we'd be happy to take them to court for harrasment...
My advice?

Try 0800 9555111 for sensible tech support......
if all else fails ask to terminate your contract, the dept that deals with that can put you straight through to 2nd line support
