@EssexHebridean I’m not 100% sure what’s going on with SSE. They do this sometimes - reduce a monthly payment (without telling you first) and then a few months later it’s back up. I’ve had so many conversations with them without anything changes that now I just roll with it. The government help isn’t the same here in Northern Ireland. We got a £600 one off payment instead of money off bills. On the positive side, this made a good start to the Emergency fund.Other MSE news - I’m just waiting for mortgage to be paid on 1st and will then make the overpayment to CC1 which will take me into the £18k bracket. Even though I’ve budgeted and know I have money in other pots that could be used at a push, I’m still scared to make the balance on my ‘main’ account so small ‘just in case’ I’ve forgotten something. Pretty sure I haven’t, just need to get used to this new zero based budget mindset.
Paid the deposit for a summer camp for DD from my new Holidays sinking fund. Also need to book and pay for the three half term days she’ll be at the local holiday club.Off to do my new Joe Wicks. Moved from beginner to intermediate on the app so that means lots more recipes and weights in cycle 2 which I’m pleased about. Only 2 months to holiday and my plan is to workout 4 days a week until then. This will likely be every weekday excluding Wednesday which is too busy a day to fit a workout in due to evening class at collegeCredit Card 1 - £6249.99 £4,900

Ahh yes - sorry, forgot you were in Norn Iron!
SSE sound like a pain though - I'm mentally adding them on my "avoid" list - currently that features Utility Warehouse and EDF at the top in the "never again, over my dead body" section, and I think SSE might join Scottish Power under "I'd really rather not!"🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

A sh*t list of energy providers 🤣
We’re so limited to who we can use here. The one time I ventured away from them, the other company were even worse and now I’m too scared to move away from their insane direct debit practices!Credit Card 1 - £6249.99 £4,900

I remember back when we were debt-busting, how satisfying it felt seeing that debt total drop down into the next bracket.....even just a £ or two below had a positive psychological effect.

Well done on dropping down below £19k. SSE sound awful. I thought British Gas were bad enough but they haven’t ever changed the direct debit without telling us.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. £8.51 received from fleabay - paid off CC1. The ‘pence’ annoys me but as I hope to make a couple more small payments, I’ll round it down when I make the next larger monthly paymentCredit Card 1 - £6249.99 £4,900

No MS wins the last few days. Took some money out of the ‘Eating Out’ envelope and had a Chinese takeaway. The thought of one is always more appealing than the eating although DD enjoyed it and we shared a meal (portions are ridiculous!) so not too big a spend. Prices of takeaways seem to have absolutely shot up though!
A quiet weekend ahead. Heading to a friends house tonight with a few others. My contribution will be a bottle of wine and some cheese for the cheeseboard so a fairly cheap night in. Will drop the dog at the kennels tomorrow morning as I’m leaving for a work trip on Monday morning and won’t have time to drop her off before I go.
Hope everyone has a restful weekendCredit Card 1 - £6249.99 £4,900
