I don't want to talk to them directly. I want to give them a nudge into updating my agent and my solicitor.
No, I can't speak to my buyer directly to do this.

nope, they'll say to contact the EA as they're not getting paid by you. Just nag the estage agents for an update, daily if you have to.

Are you allowed to? Yes.
Will they answer? Probably not as you aren't their client.
This is your EA's job.6 -
My agent is Purple Bricks, they keep feeding me the information I already know and haven't been able to speak to the buyer's solicitor directly. Buyer is with PPL and does not want to change.0 -
What's the issue?0

Try via your solicitor then.0

Hmmm.. well, you chose purplebricks for a reason, yes?But to answer you question, yes, you can contact anyone you want, anyhow you want, about anything you want. But your buyer's solicitor will ignore you. He works to his client's instructions only. What he might do, though, is contact your solicitor with a request that your solicitor advise you to direct queries via your solicitor and not to contact him directly again. However he'd likely respond to the estate agent or your solicitor.

Why won't your solicitor convey your message to them for you?0

Probably got more productive uses of their time. Not going to achieve anything.Snookie12cat said:Why won't your solicitor convey your message to them for you?2 -

PPL (despite their claims to the contrary) still have not fully restored their communication issues following the cyber attack.
We have been trying to gain updates from them for the best part of 2 weeks with minimal response.Almost complete radio silence!
They have never been particularly easy to deal with but the fallout from the recent IT debacle is causing innumerable problems.
We have several clients caught up in this mess through no fault of their own and as such we cannot do very much to progress their transactions at this time.
It’s one hell of a mess and I can’t begin to speculate how long it will take for the situation to return to acceptable service levels.1 -

People in the group suggest to email Ed he's the director. People say they emailed him and got a response same day. edpercival@premierpropertylawyers.com1
