"Latest Post" Column Randomly Showing Posts From An Earlier Date

1) Today (14/01) it has brought up a "Most Recent" post from 22/10/21.
2) The post being displayed is https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6306707 and is not even in the "Post, Phone & Text" forum - it has been in "Game Over" since November 21.
3) Note also the errors in the number of Posts and Discussions - the correct figures are 45/31 shown after a refresh

Strange result today:
Nothing showing as the latest post for "Regular Competitions"

After a refresh it shows the correct latest post, but there are only 6 discussions, not the 7 it is displaying:

Both sub-forums showing threads from 83 days ago as the latest.
Also showing unusual number of posts and discussions.

This problem is now 2 months old with no sign of progress.

Now gone from October to 1st November .Having got used to October, must admit never seen this on any forum before .

I am getting dates all over the place now. Most have moved to Nov but a few are showing dates from last week in Oct.

Nothing on the MSE Labs board has been updated this year.

One of the problems this fault causes is that an old dormant thread appearing incorrectly as the "most recent" is attracting visits and new comments when it should rightly be left to fade away. I have noticed quite a few discussions where there are a group of posts in October and early November then nothing for 2 months, then suddenly new comments are added.
