I'm off for a walk soon with a friend i haven't seen for a year!  I thought she'd fallen out with me but i think we just drifted apart and life stuff took over.  It's a lovely mild day here with blue skies and fluffy white clouds, i have washing on the line I'm going to make a veggie roast dinner this evening and watch some TV with the cats.   Don't like NYE and it's been a stressful autumn/winter; happy to be quiet and tranquil in my cosy home tonight.

I have spent today; found some trainers online to replace old leaky ones.  I got bluetooth headphones for Xmas so i can start running - once the trainers arrive i have no excuse  

Happy New Year turtles, hope you get to celebrate in whatever way makes you happy.  Hugs to anyone feeling sad or lonely or who just wants/needs a hug

She doesn't seem to be too bad atm. They're only talking about the next couple of days for now - giving her fluids, extra antibiotics etc. She has COVID and a covid chest infection, not drinking enough means her kidneys aren't working as well as when she had her last regular tests. I'm waiting for someone to drop off a lft as I don't know if I'm allowed out yet - all the symptoms of COVID are normal life for me especially from September - March.

@mothernerd hope your mum recovers soon. 

My OH has tested positive for Covid today, I've tested negative. We can't really self isolate from each other in our little flat and we've spent the entire last week together so it's probably a matter of time before I test positive. 

Having a tricky time with my mum atm, she's doing her best to alienate the entire family so all in all a weird end to the year. Hopefully a better 2022 ahead! Happy New year to all the turtles.

mothernerd - Sending hugs.
Achieved 20 NSDs this month.  Over the last week I have been in contact with brother, sister, niece and nephew. Also I have been catching up with a few household chores and resting.  Going to have a quite night in and will get up to see the new year in.
