Grateful for progress - new bed is ready for mattress arriving tomorrow.
Got some under bed boxes, will be helpful in future.
It is dodgy but will wait for after christmas sales.

I'm sorry to hear you are feeling low, Mothernerd. You have a lot on your plate and one more thing can seem too much for a while. I don't think any parent feels like they've got it 100% right all of the time and sometimes our kids can be so sharp with us it can cut to the bone. Then it all blows over. Often they can make us cry with the unreasonableness of it all. But they love us and that gives us the strength to carry on. Sending hugs.
No NSD's but most of the food in for the big day. Niece is bringing turkey crown as long as we can still meet up otherwise we have enough to feed the 2 of us. Just some veg to get and the ingredients to make a cheesecake - key lime or Bayleys, what a hard decision!
Plenty of steps over the last few days. Having to sit a lot at work to assemble components so legs really ached on my first day off. Obviously need to move more at work.
Took library book back and apologised as it was due back Jan'21. Thought my card had expired but they'd blocked it due to the missing book. Lady was very nice about it, reset my card and said there was no fine to pay. So glad about that!
Made a present for my best friend tonight. More a case of glueing a decorative bird into a nest in a vintage tart tin and adding artificial flowers, pearls and beads. No sewing involved thank goodness!
My present to my friend in Germany still hasn't arrived. I hope it is ok. Bit worried about it now.
Work colleagues are hoping for a bonus but I thought boss said our summer pay rise had incorporated it. Fingers crossed I misunderstood him and we get one!
Wishing you all a safe, happy and productive week leading up to the big day. X

I'm fine. I played a lot of music - Pogues, Mike Oldfield and Greg Lake with Ian Anderson at St Brides Church, took a break, found a chocolate bar. I've emptied nearly all my stuff that was in mum's kitchen cupboards (4 bags for life), Still have some spice jars and oddments to pack (must remember the roasting dish). toast for tea (some days only toast will do). Six boxes stacked by the bedroom door (rather than all over the floor being trip hazards). finished with more chocolate cake than is good for me but immensely satisfying. Starting to feel a bit perky now.
But must write it all up in my notebook (supposed to be tracking activities and mood). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -

didn't manage to post over the weekend; been busy getting ready for sproutmas. Braved the PO on Friday after work so could post a parcel to sis - cost £5 for items that only cost me £20! Also posted last 2 cards. Had to go back on Sat for dollars as part of DD2 and boyfr present. Had a failed trip into town as all the items i saw when window shopping had been soldMet DD1 at out of town shopping centre, we didn't meet till 5pm but was still busy - managed to get a few more things.
Yesterday bought some supplies in Arseda including a bottle of wine for neighbour who mows the lawns all summer.
Put lots of twinkly lights up everywhere and put down rug i bought in swedish emporium last month, house looks cosy.
mothernerd - when i had my house up for sale i used to put my laundry bag and other items in my car when viewers came! I have a garage but that is already full of carp.
4 days left of work .....
gratitudes - couple of good bargains at shops; DD2 now home; chilled Sun eve with DD2 & boyfr watching TV

Their attic was also full ( a 1960s square house so the attic was a good usable space like a square ice cream cone). To be fair, they had thought they had sold the house once and had dismantled some wardrobes in preparation but honestly (and no attempt to hide the washing, the machine was under the stairs and buried under a washing mountain). It had more bedrooms than mine but probably less space and there were so many obvious design faults or poor use of the space available.
I'm skiving. I have done some things but my back is hurting so much and I'm veering off when trying to walk in a straight line. I've been round the yard and looked in the shed and have 3 more bags and a laundry basket to play with (currently standing on bin bags in front of the radiator), but I already have more than will fit in a taxi with me (before the taxi driver starts to shout or cry).
I had roast beef and trifle for breakfast, lunch is Welsh beef burgers and med veg (well I need to empty the fridge/ freezer before moving it). Already told mum that if she has visitors, to ask them to put some of the bags/ boxes in their cars and drop it off at my house. It won't all be done but concentrating on what I can do and not borrowing trouble. I need to be at my house before the waste wizard is due at 2 pm and that's the only deadline I have. Would have liked to take the food bank stuff across but my back is protesting too much (this is a marathon not a sprint).

Mothernerd, I am cleaning the conservatory today and am using you as my inspiration! doing little bits and resting which will hopefully lead to big things like you do!!
Sending love to all on this thread, I love it here XXXXNevertheless she persisted.10 -
I am refereeing arguments about who gets to go on the PEE S4 next. Joy!!Went volunteering this morning, the amount of donations coming in is horrific (too fast to sort, date, and put away before the next one comes in - it is constant, there is no floor space left, and social distancing means only a certain number of people can be in , the schools are off so people are 'working from home'). We all worked over our hours today. There is still no floor space.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Evening
Achieved some stuff at work. Off to outdoor cinema tonight - taking hot water bottles and blankets ! NSD so far but will need hot choc - hoping someone treats me .....
Wrapped presents for DD2's boyfr to take home with him. When getting picnic chairs out the garage found an unopened pack of kitchen rolls
mothernerd - i did wonder what i'd do about the garage (& loft) if i sold my house - clearing the garage has been on my to do list for years, despite 3 (?) lockdowns i still haven't found the time. I did empty the garage fridge last year - that was beyond gross - basically contained black sludgeI don't like going in the loft as it makes me claustrophobic and i have to go up a ladder, fine going up but coming down is a bit scary ....... Once the cat followed me up so then i spent ages trying to entice her back out!
Gratitudes - DD1 had a good first day in her new job; relaxed day at work; nice chats with DD2 and her boyfr
