I've actually had a NSD, first one this month!! Logged onto day job at 8am and worked till 4.30 with a short break for lunch. Then started on PT jobs. Managed to fit in a couple of surveys too. Also wrapped 2 presents! Have taken delivery of one parcel out of 4 on order. Did half my exercise class on Fb. Walked to the letterbox to post my first 2 sprouts day cards, decided to walk round the block but half way round it started an icy rain shower blowing in my faceGoing for a bath now to unfreeze my legs.
Gratitudes - hot baths and hot water bottles; nice text chat with friend; tackling a frog and phoning boss about PT job #2, he was helpful and supportive

Hmm a very spendy day here and partly to no use. I bought a used exercise bike, old but looked all fine, now it turns out the cover for the computer/controller is missing and the d batteries I was told to get does not fit. I cant imagine any size batteries fitting in the space and hard to guell without the cover. I am basically fuming. The bike was £30 and the batteries were £10! Silly me to not check, I had some d batteries at home already ! That I have never used!
I also had to get a drill bit, a very short screw driver that is still too long I have to get a sidewards ratchet (i'm sure it has a better name), a weird screw driver bit for the key safe so lots of bits, but I now have everything lined up and I can start drilling for key safe tomorrow morning and book alarm people to come out with the last bits of kit for ds1.
I feel I am letting all of this stuff take way too long, but it is hard, I have to do the mum bits and the dad bits for ds1. The listening and the drilling! (I'm not really thinking about gender here - just the fact that I am only one person, working full time and I could do with some more people.
But seriously - how do I get the exercise bike working, I can't control the resistance without the computer. Very annoying. What a waste of Money. And time as might now have to take to skip.
Grateful for - well relaxing and having a naughty mid week brew on couch with the dog snoring away alongside.
EDIT:
Grateful for the idea that the batteries I might need for the exercise bike are c batteries! I will give it another go :-)

Totally agree with @foxholes.
Glad the leak is going to be sorted out too, the water board should take some responsibility!
I could hear water dripping last night, thought it was coming off the letterbox flap, but hubby pointed out it was coming through the ceiling!! The wind & rain were pelting the front of the house last night, so need to investigate further.
Slept really well last night, so felt refreshed this morning. Work went ok until the last half an hour, thankfully a teacher came to help me. Had a meeting afterwards, so was able to discuss things with other members of staff.
After tea my brother phoned, then we put up the sprout day tree, I washed the dishes & painted my nails, ready for my birthday tomorrow ☺️
Grateful for the tree lights twinkling, nice nails, phone chat with my brotherUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Sorry i've been AWOL. I've not been well and didn't have the energy to post for a few days. Feeling better now so all good.
Sorry to hear about your dripping problem, @Thrifty_Taylor. We recently had the same problem and it turned out it was birds pulling moss off the roof and it filling the gutters. When we had the storm it overflowed and came in through the lintel above the living room window. That in itself is another story/problem! Anyway, got the gutter cleaned out and hopefully solved it for now.
Helped mum put up the Christmas tree last night. It's one of those with many branches that slot together. We got it off FB marketplace last year and luckily the chap had lettered all the matching parts so it only took an hour. Looks quite realistic.
Been out to local Christmas market with OH and had lovely Greek souvlaki as a treat. Got stamps for Christmas cards and chocolate coins for a stocking filler.
Wrapped and posted present to my friend in Germany. £15.25! Nearly cheaper to fly there! Hope it arrives safely as it contains 2 Cornishware cups and saucers for her collection.
Hope to get covid booster done tomorrow or Saturday. Not keen on needles but got to be done.
No NSD days yet.
Gratitudes: Tree is up, I'm feeling better, nice visit and lunch at market.
