Someone stole my morning (and yesterday evening - extended nap).
Grateful for good progress yesterday - washing line up and filled (only minor injuries and extensive bruising), a large chunk of Beloved's room cleared, 2 bags of rubbish, 1 each of cans, plastic bottles and glass bottles, two boxes of stuff to keep (one small tub for all the tiny easily lost bits), big pile of cardboard and paper, lots of cobwebs and dusting, one emptied bookcase moved to my room. More washing being processed and a pile of things that need washing (more covered in dust than actually dirty)
Grateful for mum buying Chinese takeaway (I over ordered so we have hot food when needed and can throw in all the past their best (on the verge of extinction) veg
Time to rest - back to being weak and wobbly today so staying at the bungalow and doing as many chair/ bed based tasks as possible. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
Evening turtles. NSD 3 here. Relatively quiet day at work. Weather is grim so I chickened out of swimming at lunch. Probably for the best as my friend contacted me to say someone at her leaving do on Saturday night has tested positive for covid... I knew I had a bad feeling about it! Did a LFT which was negative and have ordered a PCR to be safe.
Work are messing me around a bit saying my notice period is 2 months but my contract says 1, I've sent them a copy, as far as I'm concerned my notice period is what's on my contract not what they've randomly decided it is.
Slowly getting there with Xmas presents. Mainly OH left to buy for but he still doesn't know what he wants so I'm a bit lost. We'll get there eventually!9 -
Evening
WfH today. Went out at lunch to deliver the toy i bought for the local charity collection and called at the c00p for bread. Finished work early as colleague came round to help me with my PT jobs.
DD2 has been whisked away by her boyfr to a lodge by the coast, she sent pics and it looks very cosy and peaceful; glad she is having a treat after a difficult few months. DD1 and i are plodding on at work counting the days to the festive break.
I've ordered a couple of presents; one parcel was supposed to be delivered today but no sign of it. It'll come tomorrow when i'm at work no doubt!
Did exercise class on Fb this eve.
Gratitudes - DD2 being happy; colleague who gave up 2 hours of time to help me out; exercise class warming me up

Evening all, loved today's quotes @mothernerd.
A good morning at work, afternoon a bit trickier. Stopped at the post office on my way home to send cards abroad, so had to spend. A colleague had given me a black bag of clothes, so sorted through it, took some bits to keep, some to sell & rest to donate. Had a nap before tea, then replaced a coat zip afterwards. Sorted some things in our bedroom, put a few more bits in the black bag & got the avalanche of items more under control.
Grateful for pupil apologising without prompting, a short queue at the post office, Stacey's sorting your life out programme on BBC1Use it up, wear it out

Walked lots today - to and from the train station, to and from the hospital, and to and from the butchers. Mostly in the rain. And felt better for it. I think i covered about 4 miles. It was also a good opportunity to listen to my current audiobook - ‘Happy’ by Derren Brown.OH still has a rotten cold, so when I got home I started disinfecting the house - wiped over surfaces, handles, and switches. Threw on a washing which I’ll hang after DS is in bed.
I also tidied and cleaned one cupboard in the kitchen from which I added a loose leaf teapot to the charity bag.I think I’m still on NSD 2.
Grateful today for the NHS, for cappuccinos, for free audiobooks.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6 -
Evening all,Bleurrgh sort of day, to go with the weather. I don't seem to have done much apart from walking the dog first thing and some basic cleaning, but I did also round up the last of the potatoes and half a sad looking cabbage, and boiled them up to make a big pan of bubble and squeak. Cooked up half of it for dinner with some cold meat, pickles and more veg, the rest is in the fridge for tomorrow night. Also made a loaf in the bread maker. OH was given 4 pheasants at the weekend, so he spent the morning prepping those. All are now bagged and in the freezer.Nothing spent again today, so I am on NSD4. Working tomorrow afternoon, so I am unlikely to have time to spend until Wednesday, which is my usual weekly shopping day.Grateful for my warm home and plentiful food. I haven't always had these things, and I know that many others don't.8

I have an x-ray appointment today. Still not sure whether to try for the bus or call for a taxi (still a bit wobbly and I could get more done here, as long as I book the taxi in advance).
Finished off more bits from the fridge. Have little jottings everywhere (keep writing things down as I think of them). Must sort more of them into lists.
Grateful for sleep (but mustn't fall asleep again), the NHS, boxes (have several small ones I could fill with books and then slot them back in the spaces on the bookshelf for now - packed to go but not in the way.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
NSD 5 for me today. I seem to be doing much better with these than usual, and I am not sure why...Tomorrow will be a spend day as I need to go shopping. I also have a telephone asthma review with the GP's surgery practice nurse, someone is coming to pick up something I am selling (decluttering, yay!), and the dog needs to go to the vet's for his jab, so all a bit hectic.I worked in the antiques / vintage shop where I rent my sales unit this afternoon. We were busy, but only because one of our bulk dealers (who has a shop of her own in a more picturesque and touristy area) came in and spent quite a bit. We aren't getting the usual Christmas shoppers that we usually get in at this stage. Not sure whether it is because people are watching the pennies, or due to covid worries
The lady who did come in to bulk buy said she is experiencing similar at her shop, which is in a bigger town with more visitors and a much bigger footfall. Come to think of it, I still have Christmas presents to buy, so it might be that people are leaving it to the last minute.
