Do you have an email for cder group?
You need to tell them that you cannot afford the repayments at the current rate and instead will pay at a level you can afford.
If the next piece of advice is wrong  please correct me : Do not ring and talk to someone, instead write by letter asking all further communication be in writing only. Then tell them (don't ask) the current repayment terms are unaffordable and you will be paying £1 a week whilst you come up with a budget to work out what you realistically can afford.
Come back here for help putting a budget together. Keep up with the token payments but don't talk to these people on the phone. Remember the person at the other end will lie through their teeth to get you to pay at a rate that suits them and they don't carecifvtheir lies make you upset.

May you find your sister soon Helli.

I emailed cder group welfare as that's they only way you are allowed to correspond with them. I told them I was suicidal, had nothing left to sell and couldn't afford to eat, I made an offer, they refused in the return email and stated they cannot extend the timescale as they have guidelines to follow. That's why I called the court, on the advice on here, but the woman I spoke to just kept saying its nothing to do with them

As said, they can't refuse. You can't get what someone hasn't got.

As advised, write to them advise of £1 per month until you have a budget together and go back with a proposal as fast as you can.

Also instruct them for all contact through post.

    Was that from cder group?
You are not refusing to pay, by paying £1, you are still paying the debt, what you're not doing is paying as per the 'most likely fictitious terms' certain are demanding.
Even if it goes to court, the judge will ask are you paying your debt? You say, yes I'm paying £1 a week because that's all I can afford. The judge will ask to see your budget and he may say, yes I agree you can only afford £1 a week or no, you can afford £3 a week (for example).
Cder will lie because some jumped up little toerag is paid based on how much money he collects so he is not adverse to lying, bullying and threatening you to get that money in.
Do not speak to them by phone. You will know they are lying when you hear words come out the phone into your ear. Only communicate by email and letter, if they ring tell them that then hang up.
Do not ignore letters and emails but DON'T talk to them on the phone, please.

Yes, they said if I don't pay that amount then I will be arrested as its a warrant. I just don't understand why they have a welfare group, who don't even seem to help. I camt risk getting arrested, am petrified beyond belief of court. Its my little boys birthday on Monday, it's going to be the worst day, can't even afford to eat this week, I feel like selling the clothes off my back now

OK, we need some clarity here, what was the fine for, and how much is it ?

On further research it appears cder group are contracted by HM courts and tribunals service to collect fines, they are high court enforcement agents, who used to be known as JBW/Phoenix collections, but now operate under the name cder group.

You should contact citizens advice urgently, because someone should be listening to you here, you cannot pay what you do not have, see what they recommend, I would also try the court again, try and speak to someone else, as they appear to have the ability to extend payment arrangements, don`t be fobbed off.

You will only face arrest if you refuse to pay, that is not the same as "can`t pay" they are trying to scare you with threats of this nature, unfortunately this is how these companies operate, bailiff regulation is pretty poor in this country, they can enter your home, peacefully, to take goods of value, they will not arrest you, they are bailiffs and do not possess that power, if you have nothing of value, they may apply to the court for an attachment to earnings order, if you work, failing that there is nothing else they can do.

If the police did arrest you, you would be able to explain yourself to the judge.

The fine is for an offence from years ago when I was in a very bad place, with bailiff costs and a court fine of forgetting to renew my TV licence it is now sitting at £5, 635. I went to court to have an arrangement to pay, then mentally health hit badly and I was going through a lot of problems and I defaulted.  Then I heard from cder group and now this is happening. I offered in the email to pay £100 a week, that's missing out some bills and with me eating every second day, they refused that. The court woman today just kept saying no, it's nothing to do with them, when I explained the position I'm she just said there is nothing they can do as it's not with them any more. I said if I don't pay the amount cder have set, then who would take me to court, cder group? She said I camt answer that, sorry we can't help you

If you don`t pay then the court will act on a warrant for you to appear before the judge to explain why.

I would urge you to speak to citizens advice as soon as you can.
