While I was on a roll decided to just go for it and do a second bank account switch - it was one of the reasons I had so many in the first place after all!! £100 roughly 28 days after go live which will be in a couple weeks. So that's another £100 I will be able to pay off the CC once it arrives in my account. It also comes with a 0% £250 O/D facility. Best of all when those two accounts settle in - I still have other accounts I could switch.... I can see why BusyMee and others do this frequently. I tried once before and gave up too early!
I will keep the account I've held the longest for stability but I am encouraged. I feel a lot less out of control that I did when I first got my latest legal bill as even though it will take 1-3 months for them to pay out - I have savings and it should still come before the 0% period expires on target card 1.

Have a lovely weekend
I need to set up new breakdown insurance as currently doing through a packaged bank account which is too expensive. That's next on my hit list - after cancelling 2 CCs.
Today I plan to list on FB
a crystal ceiling lamp - need to give the crystals a wipe first and then photograph. I may see if I have any photos of it up in place before we took it down...
the butterfly lamp
another mirror or two
I'm going to look in the shed for other saleable items as that's been my top earner so far.
DS is home overnight - so need to make his bed, sort him a towel etc
Ex is picking up DD later for a family celebration. She wants me to take her into town first to get a card. I am still contemplating whether to give a card or not.
While she's out - I may start putting up xmas decs and make the place look more festive.

It's the coloured lamps I like too.
I leave my bank rewards saving up now, acts as a mini EF or towards Christmas. I'll move it into an interest paying account over December, starting the new mini EF in January.
If you've got no accounts with ex, double check there's no financial association link still, if there is still a link you'll have to sever that.

I've done the first coat of the walls in white paint but it felt like it was taking forever. It was extremely patchy don't know why - unless it was because I wiped some of the walls with a damp cloth before beginning. Did have to fill a few holes. Ex had got a damp / oil type stain on part of one the wall. Managed to get it off with oodles of sugar soap.
Went to put DS's quilt cover on and it was still a bit damp so returned it to the dryer but all sorted now. He and Ex are out in the car talking after a family birthday. My 'slot' with him is tomorrow.
In theory someone is coming to pick up a FB thing around 9.30 and I'm dropping one off around 10.30. I had thought I'd found a home for some suitcases but the person reneged! Worst case I'll get rid of them on Monday. I have Monday off - as taking DD 100 mile round trip to work and felt I might be tired after DS's visit too. I also still have loads I want to do in terms of sorting the house out. I think DS's train is late afternoon tomorrow so should be able to do another coat on the walls tomorrow. I may need to do the cornicing and the ceiling too. I'm hoping by the end of Monday to have the study / garden room how I want it.
One benefit of the heavy storm last night was I put some plastic shed shelving outside and the storm kind of cleared off years of muck that wouldn't come off for me the other day. Going to see if someone wants it for a fiver - if not free - or if no-one wants it be Wednesday I'll tip it. I've agreed with DD I can put her manual bike up on the wall in the garage as she's not planning on riding it any time soon. I'm going to ask DS to help with that - although me and DD could do it at a push. Slowly emptying the shed. I then want to transfer a couple of kiddie fun style bookcases I bought into the shed.

@savingholmes that shed of yours is like a Tardis ;-)
Regarding the paint, is it old? Is it a good quality one? I’ve worked out over the years, and my many various painted walls -as I like a change regularly- that it’s not worth buying the cheapest paint available.»The road to DF is long and bumpy » Greensaints7 -

I'm going to try listing some football memorabilia next see if that goes. The shelves have in theory sold for £8...Someone is due to pick them up at 3pm. It's snowing quite heavily now so hoping she still comes. I am going to go out and turn my car around to make going tomorrow easier. I got £9 earlier for the other 2 items- which I used towards food and other essentials to save any new card spends. Going to use the other £ from Thursday and Friday towards the cleaner.
Hoping that I will manage on the fuel I have until payday - as I have to take her tomorrow but after that someone else is due to pick her up and drop her off throughout December!! Major win - as that should mean my main fuel spend in December is just for Xmas day travel to my parents and the odd trip into work or to see other family. That should then boost how much I can pay off the CC for both months.
Feel money is slightly more under control than it was. Had to lend DS my posh umbrella as he didn't bring a coat!!! Hoping I get it back at xmas.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well that was another £8 in the kitty. She hadn't realised it was a pair of shelves so reckon I could have charged more - but £8 for something I nearly put on for a fiver and which I thought I'd end up tipping. Really shows how much I've wasted over the years. Found a saddle in the garden... may try that one day next week. Debating if there's any point listing stuff now as few people will want to drive in this... I do have a nice, shiny red plastic sled... Somehow I think that would sell no problem!! Tempted as my kids are too old and big now... and it's barely used.
