Why not start with a few items on your local FB marketplace. Gives you a chance to test the market and buyers can collect so you don't have to worry about post and packaging.
Remember that art is a very subjective thing - if items don't sell it's because the right person hasn't found them yet.

If in doubt on how to package can you find a couple of fragile items in a charity shop - maybe those very thin cheap glass vases for example, and pack them up and send them to yourself to see if they survive OK? That way you'd be confident that the heavier duty glass bottles would be fine with the way you pack them?
Agree with BM about the underselling thing too - any anyway, I'm absolutely certain knowing how thorough you are that you will have done your research and know how much they should be priced at! Even if you DID undersell them, they'll still be earning more than they will be sitting around waiting, no?
Go on....do it, you know you want to!

@badmemory EH and Fortune
I listed 3 lots of stuff on FB at lunchtime and have had interest in one already but no sales yet. Will list more tonight.
Fortune I like your analogy.
EH. Yes any £ better than none at this point. It also clears clutter and allows me to create new pieces.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Give them a chance. Buying art is not like buying a new kettle. You need to be sure that something you like today will still feel as good in a couple of months. A kettle is just something to boil water in.

Thanks @badmemoryAnother good analogy. Welcome @kaycastle
£20 of my £240 shortfall sorted.
I sold the boxing bag for £20 & it was picked up in less than 4 hours so really pleased with that. I am certainly more motivated to look around and see what else I can sell now. Will report back later...

Keep looking and selling things, the money will come in handy and you'll make space for items you want.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.6

@savingholmes, I bought some earrings on Etsy. I looked mainly at items that were free delivery. I am sure the “free delivery” was actually not free but reflected in the price of the earrings, but psychologically it felt a better purchase. That might be a way round it for you.LBM: August 2006 - £12,568.49 —— DFD: 12 March 2012

I struggle to part with stuff that I made.... I know it's ridiculous... And I'm full of excuses.... I will report back tomorrow - if I've even managed to photograph some to sell!!! LOL at the ridiculousness of myself!!
I have managed to sell 2 bike tyres that I'd originally planned to take to the tip for £15 so very happy with that. The person is collecting tomorrow am. I offered my cleaner my bike a week ago but if she doesn't say yes - that will go on FB soon. As long as he pays up that will then take me to £35 of my £240 shortfall.
I may sell some of my crystal. I am quite good at spotting bargains in CS - so should make a profit compared to the original cost. Some even have labels on them...
I am going to put on FB a couple of things MIL gave me years ago... Therapeutic in its own way LOL. This for me is progress of a kind... Listing anything is better than not listing...
At the weekend I may go to a jeweller and check out what value they'd give me for my wedding ring, engagement ring and another ring. I think I also have a gold necklace. I may not sell them to them - but at least it would give me an idea of value.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
