@LadyWithAPlan Sorry showing my privilege in having a garden. That's nice if you help your mum.
Glad you have savings @badmemory
@Honeysucklelou2 I had a lovely 2 nights / part of 3 days away but back to work today. The sea has left my skin much softer too and I caught the sun a little. Always makes the contrast when you come home again bigger though. Only 3 days left to work this week. I am glad you are inspired - I have my up and down moments like most people.
DIA - I agree it can smell lovely.
@FlacosFloozie - I am currently trying to time my washing for when it's bright and sunny or at least windy.
I cooked for DD tonight - She'd not had the best day. She's up bright and early tomorrow but someone is picking her up. I had to drop her off near a local work site today.
My cleaner comes tomorrow. Then I have my counsellor the evening after. Then catching up with a friend and her DD and mine (separate tables) for a meal at a pub. Gives the week some structure. It does blow my plan to spend nothing until payday though (Monday) and DD needs me to loan her the £ for her meal too. It's doable just not quite on plan. Hopefully the life energy spent will be recouped in new energy / joy from seeing friends.

My mum always hung out washing when we were kids, and she still does. We had a dryer but I don't remember her using it much. I'm glad to be able to hang out now (three loads of LMG's clothes, she's terrible for doing her washing, all dried and in by 6.30pm) and I appreciate how lucky we are to be able to do that.
Enjoy your meal and catch up with your friend and DDs.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I chased £co and they said they are resending the voucher - the email saying that arrived but not the voucher. I've prompted them again. I didn't get around to chasing MnS.
I managed to not spend today though which feels a real achievement - I buy from Am**** far too often even if I don't leave the house / especially if.
Did a bit of a food stock take to limit spends before Monday:- I have soup and chicken casserole I can eat tomorrow.
- Then a couple of slices of thin cut beef for the following day(s).
- I have another soup - plus at least one in the freezer.
- I have tinned salmon (but would want fresh salad to go with it.) I have tomatoes, onions and one pepper but that's not enough - so I may buy more salad.
- I could make a veggie pasta dish using part of a jar of sundried tomatoes and either bottled or frozen peppers. I'd need DD to open the jar as last time I tried I couldn't get it open! If I add onion, frozen green beans and tinned kidney beans to it - that would do 3 or 4 meals. I use cayenne pepper, vinegar, salt, garlic. I have some parmesan I could use as a topper. I like it more with salad on top though - so I need to buy at least lettuce. I need to check if I already have portions of this in the freezer as I could use those up first.
- Other than that I'll be on freezer surprise and whatever is in the (fairly full) tin cupboard. I have at least 1 fillet of chicken in the freezer and I think 3 portions of sausages so I should be able to make the meat I have last a few more days.
- I have YS potatoes from last week and carrots.
- I have lots of milk - so could make porridge or macaroni milk or the angel stuff...
- I also have pancake mix and some eggs if I'm tempted to stray off plan and lemon juice... and other treat food
- I have eggs and cheese and onion so could make omelette and have it with some salsa sauce and tomatoes.
Hope you are all having a good week.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

A couple of times recently I've had trouble opening jars with no-one available to help. If it is one of those with the button thing (technical term obviously) on the top, try stabbing it with a pointed knife - carefully. The really hard ones are the ones you've already opened but the top has got a little stickly - bin time!

With the jars, if the button thing (thanks @badmemory) is still down because it's a new jar, get a teaspoon, hook the tip of the spoon under the side of the lid and push the handle towards the jar. It should pop open. If it's stuck because it has spilled a bit then when DD has opened it, give it a wipe round with a damp cloth, round the rim and inside the lid. That should make it easier for next time.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Energy prices are scary, we're on a fix until Nov '23 so are buffered for now, but eek.
I don't know how households on fixed incomes will cope, all sounds very dodgy.
Glad you had a good weekend away and managed to balance your family/chill time well

I have one of those jar opening clamps. It doesn't always work because the lids are often curved so they don't grab properly.
