Amazon to stop taking Visa Credit Cards

I just received an (what I initially thought was a scam) email from Amazon asking me to update my payment details as they will not be accepting Visa Credit cards.
It looks like it really is the case!
Visa Debit will still be accepted, as will Mastercard and Amex.
