Hi all
Euro Parking Services have sent a fine for £100 as I parked on a pub for 2 minutes and didn’t enter my registration number.

In your opinion would you appeal this?

Always appeal (see NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, first post), in parallel you contact the pub manager and complain assertively and get them to cancel the charge.I presume you were a customer of the pub at that time? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I think everyone here would.
BTW, It is not a fine. Please read the newbies, read some other threads, and complain to your MP.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -

Just to clarify. The NTK that you have received actually lists the 'contravention' as two minutes ?The pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.2

Can you get the pub to quash it? Don't just speak to bar staff or glass collectors - but get a landlord or GM who will have the clout to deal with it. That should be Plan A. If not then appeal. A lot of pubs have lost trade due to their choice of carpark operators. If that fails it might be worth leaving a truthful review on TripAdvisor or the pub's social media pages. Not ideal - but people will need to be warned should they wish to visit and don't get stitched up too. Only resort to playing hardball if the pub don't or won't help.2

Apologies I wasn’t a customer, my husband parked there for 2 minutes to use a cash machine, he didn’t realise you had to pay.Because he didn’t enter the reg on the machine he has received £100 fine through the post1

Send the appeal template in blue text from the NEWBIES. Send it unaltered from the keeper.
Get pics of the site and signage. If the driver didn't know they had to pay, had to be a customer, or didn't know they had to enter their VRM on a keypad then the signs were probably inadequate.
Having said that, the reason why a pub has employed an unregulated parking company may be because they are fed up with people using their car park then going elsewhere.I married my cousin. If the NTK really does say period of parking two minutes, then one defence would be such a short spell is covered by grace period. Alternatively delivery/collection time which is not parking. If it really does say two minutes IMHO not too much to worry about. Is it an ANPR controlled car park?
