  • 9th November as I said in the original post. Again, apologies for not getting back sooner but I'm also juggling ongoing personal issues which have had to take precedence. I'm hoping to do whatever is necessary tomorrow to start resolving this.

    Thanks, Anthony.

Yes you did, but your earlier post today said it was received on that date.

With a Claim Issue Date of 9th November, you have until Monday 29th November to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Having filed an AoS in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 13th December 2021 to file your Defence.
That's over three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

Of course everywhere I have written 'you' or 'your' I mean the named Defendant.
  • Sorry, issued on 9th and received on 11th when I made the thread. Cheers.

This is brilliant and exactly what I needed, thank you Keith. I will make a start tomorrow and have next weekend free to finalise everything before sending on (or before?) 29th November.

Again, thank you for the advice, really appreciated.

Wrong , the defendant completes the AOS by 29th November , online ( not you ) , so she does it ASAP , preferably today !

The defence deadline is 13th December , in 3 weeks using the ccbcaq email address

Your attention to detail is appalling , so read these things carefully
  • Again, I appreciate all of the help and advice thus far but can't help but feel the condescension is unnecessary.

I've just completed the AOS on behalf of my wife using all of her details. Due to the family issues I've mentioned I want to keep her involvement to a minimum due to the additional stress this will cause.

I thought there was more to an AoS but it was relatively straight forward. I assume the next step of preparing the defence is much more complicated?

I'll start by reading the guidance on the Newbies thread as advised, and any other suggestions are always welcomed.

    Thanks!

We stick to facts , not condescension , because these Legal procedures need to be followed exactly , your feelings are irrelevant , getting it right is crucial , so as you keep getting things wrong , triple check what you are doing

Use the defence template by coupon mad , nothing complicated in adapting paragraphs 2 and 3 , especially not 2 which is fairly simple , the complicated ones are already written , 2 and 3 are bespoke , personal
  • Appreciate the advice, thank you. I'll start compiling this week and will post on here to check before I send if that's OK.

Please just post paragraphs 2 & 3, we don't need to check the rest of the template.
