Wisdom Tree (index tracker fund company)

Is this company for real!

I mean do they actually have a UK office/ branch with real people working in it? or is it all done by technocracy?
Because when you have savings/ investments with them and there is a problem then there is no one there to take any responsibility what so ever as a no-reply@email kind of hides them away really (this is kind of like the companies claiming to sell crypto). The best I could find on there web site was a contacts page for which they have not responded to me within 24 hours!

Do all index tracker fund companies work like this? Or are there any that operate like a bank or building society where one can pop into the branch to open up a new account or make a deposit?

Normally with this type of company , you buy their products via an investment platform and have no need to contact them directly.
They are  not set up to deal with the general public . In fact their website makes it clear that they will only deal directly with professional investors.

Investment companies aren't like banks or building societies with a high street presence, no, but if you're saying that you have invested with them then how did you make contact and transact in the first place?  Why not invest through a retail-oriented platform?

They are at least UK regulated, with some contact details shown at https://register.fca.org.uk/s/firm?id=001b000000NMdN1AAL

I wouldn't be too worried about not hearing back within 24 hours. Many companies aim to get back to you within 3 working days. I have no idea what Wisdom Tree's policy is on this but you may need to wait a bit longer for a response to your e-mail.

What's your issue?  Wisdom Tree ETF's only are traded through recognised exchanges such as the LSE. You'll need to purchase through your investment platform.  Not funds in the traditional sense.

Depends on what fund universe you are looking at (e.g OEIC/UT or ETF).     As Wisdom Tree offer ETFs, they are not bought direct but via a broker or investment platform in the same way as shares.     ETFs are directly traded assets and not set up like UT/OEICs (funds).

ETFs are a more advanced investment option.   Are you ready for that level of sophistication yet?

Yes because they don’t want to sell to you. It’s like Heinz don’t sell individuals tins of beans. If you wanted 1 million tins they might be interested.

This page lists the major UK platforms some of these will offer access to Wisdom Tree funds. https://monevator.com/compare-uk-cheapest-online-brokers/

You don't buy the funds directly from them. You typically use an investment platform that can access the London Stock Exchange and the shares and ETFs listed there. What do you want to buy exactly?
