I'm dealing with a new city centre apartment block which has no parking spaces, but nonetheless, the residents are prohibited from parking speedboats. I don't think they'd fit in the lift.

Also, they're not allowed to keep ferrets.

After reading a thread that mentions a freehold with the clause 'no playing piano in the garden', I wondered,

What's the strangest clause you've seen in a tenancy/property agreement?
I have a covenant from 1938 when our house cost around £600 that states that we are not allowed to erect any new building in the garden with a value of less than £500
in 1938 it would have to be another house
Today I can put up a shed or anything bigger
30 years time i will only need to consider worry about anything  smaller than a plastic dolls house

My old house was a 1970’s 3 bed semi-detached near Bolton. It had an £18 a year leasehold and one condition was that you had to apply for planning permission to have gates fitted on the driveway. There were already gates fitted when I moved in so I often wondered how that particular conversation went…..

I am not allowed to dry my socks in the toaster.
Pretty sure that’s from Eddie Izzard, but if not, it sure sounds like something he said in one of his DVDs……

Buying Russian in light of recent events... Not a wise move. Better to buy British, and get yourself a Harrier GR3. Would be easier to park on a roof.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

    Use a sandwich maker instead?
So where does my vest go?
    In the vestibule of course!

I've just spat my tea out.... :D

Quite right. He's a very demanding landlord.
