According to the original deeds I cannot carry out the trade of being an "offal pipe maker" (sausages?) or a soap boiler amongst other things.
I also am not allowed to allow the land to be used by any religion or sect other than the Church of England.0 -
My Mum's house, she's not allowed to make cricket balls in it.1

Is she allowed three pianos?although surely the presence of two out of the three would still breach the 'not allowed two pianos' clause?Perhaps clause should read "not permitted to have two pianos only".....1 -
I bought a new build back in 2012 and there was a list of covenants - no Sky Dishes on the front of your house 🏡, no caravans on the driveway and no work vans on the drive to name but a few. The houses have changed hands many times over the years and no one seems to have read their contracts as it is a free for all 😡0

I once rented a ground floor flat at the rear of a house with access to a back yard & entry. There were 2 noteworthy clauses in the tenancy agreement. They prohibited:a) The provision of any sexual servicesb) Any activity relating to the practice of Satanism (!)I spent 4 years wondering who the hell had lived there before me !4

My first house was a 1950s 2 storey semi but it stated clearly in my deeds that I wasn't allowed to make candles in my cellar....0
