I have just been on the NHS site for booking a Covid-19 Booster vaccine appointment. It says the following:

"You'll be offered appointment dates from 182 days (6 months) after the date of your 2nd dose."

When I booked on Monday, I entered my NHS number and the dates I was offered started 180 days after the date of my second jab. My second jab was on a Sunday and they allowed me to book the Friday 180 days after this.

I am probably worrying over nothing and am sure that there will be no problems on the day. However, the NHS IT programmers have clearly not synchronised their website information with the booking dates.

Has anyone else noticed this and do you think I am perfectly fine to rely on the website date calculation?

My problem is that the OH has received a text to say go ahead and book and has done so.  I haven't received a text despite us both being 2nd jabbed on the same appointment.  What's more I can't go online to book anything as everything I try is already booked and the place the OH is booked for isn't even listed!!

I hate phoning the surgery as they are so incredibly nasty about answering even a simple question.

No GP or Hospital appointments here. Everything through a centralised covid (and flu) vaccination operation that's super efficient by all accounts.

I was last vaccinated 5.2 months ago under group 6 and still can't book a booster online (using the above).
A friend had the same difficulty Monday and she phoned 119 who said the system hadn't been fully updated yet.

Most likely a localised issue. Slots will become available as and when.

Unlikely because it's the national online service (that I booked through for second dose) telling me I'm not eligible to book at all.

The friend who was told the same got an appointment straight away when she called the local service.

As I'm a few weeks away anyway my plan is to just wait until the nhs site is updated.

If you still have the letter confirming your group 6 eligibility it may be worth going along with your OH and seeing if they can do you as a walk in

I don't have an OH and my text invite for dose 1 is long gone...

I've still got a few weeks to go until month 6 so I wouldn't be eligible for the walk in service yet.

Everything on the NHS page says I am eligible to book a future appointment for a booster, apart from the booking system!

My booster appointment is for the 27th November. Well over a 180 days. . Even though I managed to book yesterday. Demand has no doubt been high in the past 48 hours or so.

Inside our centre they have seperate channels operating for different GP's surgeries. This in itself is an additional constraint.
