UC Telephone Compliance Interview

Obviously. It is a voicemail.poppy12345 said:Maskface said:Well I'm guessing nobody on mse has ever had one of these letters then...
Have you ring the number on the letter as previously advised?0 -
OP,
I have recently had a UC compliance interview by telephone. I had reported a start work date incorrectly. As DWP have RTD from HMRC, my start date reported by my employer was later than I'd reported. It was simply a typo by me when reporting my change of circumstances.
The interview was relaxed and informal, asked me questions on my income, to see if it matched the RTD they had on me. The telephone interview lasted 20 minutes. while the letter is scary, it really is a standard letter, identical to the one I received. The call handler was professional and courteous throughout. This was two weeks ago.
Given that during the pandemic, UC claims were swiftly dealt with little documentation required due to Covid, the DWP are simply doubly checking claims processed through the Covid period.
It is part and parcel of being in receipt of State support and a requirement of the department to follow up. As a PP has stated, it could be simply that there is a mismatch of data that they'll need clarification on.
