@ladyholly thank you, I might be able to implement that. It’s hard with people paying up front though. I’ll have a think.

Hey, thanks so much for checking in @Bluegreen143

It’s been a tough couple of weeks, I’ve felt super poorly on the antibiotics that I’ve been on. But all scans came back clear so that is a result! Have had to buy some new sports bras though which were not cheap and ended up spending a fortune on children clothes  and school shoes etc, as I was just in f@ck it mode with everything going on.

OH is in a proper downward spiral of despair. Main business is making a loss. We have a huge vat bill from selling a load of memberships in January, which was to pay the giant tax bill. Now that is biting us in the bum with the VAT. Everything is so high as We bumped all of our Wages up to show we could afford the mortgage for the house last year which means more tax and now have another £15k to pay between us by the end of the year. I’m not sure what we’re going to do right now.

The cost of everything is astronomical at the moment. What with food and petrol and energy prices. I don’t know how we’ll cope. I could maybe take on some more work but I’m loathe too. As my health seems to suffer if I’m working all the hours.

  • so pleased your scans where clear, such a relief for you.  Sorry to hear about OH and the money situation such a worry all the time.  sending you a hug, take care and look after yourself x

Glad your scans were ok.  Hope everything else improves soon.

Ok trying to be positive. Have spent £50 on shopping this week but included toilet roll cat food and toothbrushes. Should hopefully be enough to last the week.

I’ve sold some things on eBay. I just need to post them tomorrow as one is in the wash as it had some marks on it.

Next door gave us a load of books for May so I’m going to get May to make a card instead of buying wine etc. it was SILs birthday yesterday. We were originally going to have a Chinese takeaway and buy a cake etc. But in the end we had dinner early at home and I made a Victoria sponge cake to take. May made a card and OH bought her some Guinness as a present instead of the usual expensive bottle of wine or champagne (she’s Irish and loves Guinness) and I put it in one of the many gift bags we have saved over the years. So a saving there.

I made wraps for mine and OH’s lunch yesterday instead of buying meal deals.

I bought a big tray of chicken breasts instead of the diced ones so that I could portion it out. I’m going to make stew today to last for tonight and tomorrow.

We’ll prob have omelette on Friday.

British Gas are trying to up my DD again, it’s already gone up from £100 to £187.
now they’re saying it needs to go up to £250pm! My app isn’t working so I can’t see actual usage. I’ve been a bit lacks on switching stuff off, do need to get back on it.

So that’s me for now x

I think we will all need to be more aware of our energy consumption with the way that energy bills are rising and are predicted to continue rising!!

Having an Emotional day. Everything that is going on in the world is really effecting OH. He’s depressive and miserable he wants to do something and has already been down to the army careers office to see if he can do something. The money situation is also constantly on his mind. We’ve argued today because I asked him if he was ok. I’ve had very little sleep as the children keep waking me up at 05.50 so I’m getting, at most, 5 hours sleep.

Trying to be positive. OH hasn’t spent any money on lunches etc today which is highly unusual and a step in the right direction. I think he’s finally seeing how bad things are and that the small things he does make a huge difference.

Small money saving things, I would normally go for a coffee after school with the children on Thursday but we just came home. I cooked up some rice yesterday from a big bag rather than buying the sachets and it will do the children for dinner. Me and OH have stew again.

Put washing on 20degrees again. Finally sent off eBay items.

Got to have cuddles with babies today. Which is my favourite thing to do!

So not all bad. Just trying to concentrate on the positives.
