Well done on the broadband and tv savings! I've got to tackle this too this month.

I add grated carrot to grated cheese to make it go furtherSealed pot challenge 822

Grated carrot (and courgette) is brilliant in mince dishes as well to stretch it further; red lentils are also good as they disappear when you cook them with the mince. All ideas to make a small pack of mince go further

i def need to get some lentils for the mince.I did well on my shop today, came to £42 odd but that did include Roos school shorts at £3.50. Although need to get more cat food as very rarely can I get it in lidl now!Have done some washing x 2 and hung it up, and have managed to get the children to tidy their room and I finally put my clothes away! Need to make packed lunches, put children to bed and unload the dishwasher.1 -
Food budget for next week will have to be £50 as we have run out of dishwasher salt and rinse aid and shower gel. I wonder if I can alternate £40 one week £50 the next. As when we have bigger things it’s harder to bring it in low enough. It works better in my head than £45 per week.

Could you switch to soap and flannels instead of shower gel? It’s cheaper and lasts longer and reduces plastic. You really need a flannel or sponge with soap though, to get the foam 😁. I also find rinse aid isn’t essential with the all in one tabs, but salt still is. You did great on £42!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Thank you @WinterWarrior. I keep forgetting about soap we’ve spoken about it before. I have flannels. I will pop into Tesco and get some before mine runs out. I’ve watered down the milk this morning and will do the same for the fabric conditioner.
Have a stinking cold today so just going to hibernate for the rest of the day. I’ve got hoovering and washing etc to do. But I’m mostly just going to have a day off today.3 -

Just got back from the school run, really cross! I just watched a kid push Roo out of the way and say’ Go away, I don’t want you here’ when he tried to join a group of chatting friends. It was all I could do not to shout at the kid!!!! I’m livid! Roo is so nice natured he didn’t even say anything. He’d mentioned over the weekend that the same child had been being mean to him and calling him names. Have emailed the teacher and requested a chat!!!!! Grrrrrrrr!1
