Hi Everyone
Sorry I haven't popped in for a while, I hope you are all keeping well.
I've had a couple of tight months and had to dip into my Christmas fund, which I usually don't doI am quite behind this year. Things are settling down again now so I am hoping I can regain some funds for my pot
You are all doing really well with your savings, well done
I've updated the totals page, I couldn't see any new members but please do make yourself known if you want to join the list first page
Thanks for your tips JGB:JGB1955 said:And here I am again - #2, now with £730/£730. I'm now concentrating on saving for 'something special' at the end of next year. Good luck everybody with your savings.. I've been able to achieve mine purely by using 4 different sources:- Prolific Academy surveys
- Swapping out Nectar points for Argos purchases (mainly children's Xmas/birthday presents that were already budgeted for)
- Using my 'Nectar prices' discounts and then re-paying them to me from my food budget... between £2 and £4 per week
- Levelling up all of my expenditure on Starling... 4p here and 65p there soon mounts up.
- Not a big fan of TopCashback, but currently have £36.45 confirmed so that will be in the bag soon....
- Our NatWest rewards account gives us another £36 (net) every year.
- Cashback on my Barclaycard Rewards account can be anything from 10p to £5 each month - it may only be 0.25% back, but every little counts!
I was wondering how often and how long the surveys take?
I do use TCB, when I remember! I wait until it gets to £50 and then change it into a voucher I can spend online, only have £3.43 payable at the moment and £11.44 pending. I have car insurance to look for at the end of the month so I might be able to get a bit then.
If anyone else has any top tips for getting extra pennies here and there let us knownew challenge?£1 a day for Christmas 2024 £367 / £366 ~Got married 24/05/19 ~ Credit CardDFW Nerd #1155 ~LBM 25/2/09 ~ Debt at highest £8,037.35 ~ £02 -
