Heating disputes

My husband doesn't pay the bills so he gets no say.. Lucky for him he is usually warm and I am always freezing, but I put on many layers.
If anyone cares to complain they are welcome to don extra layers.. my children would happily run about naked in the snow, I don't even bother any more. (actual nudity is not permitted)
My heating does not go on before 1st November and it turned off on April 1st.. unless there is actual snow.. I am actually looking at not being able to afford to run it for most of this winter if things don't improve fast.

Same in our household with DH. He complains he's cold whilst sat in T-shirt and shorts and when I say put warmer clothes on first and then tell me if you're still cold because that's when to put the heating on, his reply is 'he wants to be comfortable'. If I question why he's unable to be comfortable with more suitable clothing on, he can't give an answer!
I know my own body heating. I know I need longer sleeved clothing in winter otherwise I lose a lot of heat through my lower arms and I need sock on too, which is why I'm rarely cold in our house - I dress accordingly!2 -
My wife likes it colder than me - she generally wins !We have full GCH but turn it on/off manually - we have a thermostic controller but have never had the heating on for long enough to automatically cut out !Similarly with the TRV's on the radiatorsThe house is at a comfortable 16 degrees at the moment - alhtough I may put the liiving room gas fire on shortly - it is stupid to warm rooms / whole house - when they are not being usedThis could be the reason that our dual fuel bill is fairly low at £36 per month ?

£36 for dual fuel!? Do your provider’s winter projections increase your monthly DD?Deleted_User said:My wife likes it colder than me - she generally wins !We have full GCH but turn it on/off manually - we have a thermostic controller but have never had the heating on for long enough to automatically cut out !Similarly with the TRV's on the radiatorsThe house is at a comfortable 16 degrees at the moment - alhtough I may put the liiving room gas fire on shortly - it is stupid to warm rooms / whole house - when they are not being usedThis could be the reason that our dual fuel bill is fairly low at £36 per month ?0 -
