Halifax - standing orders

Has anyone else had any issues with standing orders having "been sent" yesterday, but not being received by the recipient organisation?  Balance of account was ok, so it wasn't an issue caused by that, and they weren't new standing orders, no changes made to them.  It affected several standing orders, but not all.  Tried ringing Halifax, but they just said not their problem as according to their system they've gone.  I could understand that if it was just one failed receipt, but there are several.

What is/are your recipient organisation(s)? I have an issue with Skipton BS receiving SOs from Santander.. I don't have any Halifax SOs.

So far there are 3, Skipton, Furness and Monmouth.  I can't check postal yet until offices are open.  I've phoned both Halifax and Skipton and both are saying nothing to do with them

Now that you say, I have checked my Monmouthshire accounts. Also no sign yet of yesterday's SOs from Santander.

Also missing are SOs from Santander to Chorley BS

SOs to the following worked as expected for me (all from Santander): Natwest, RBS, Virgin Money, Cambridge BS, Halifax, Lloyds, BOS, YBS, Principality BS

Sems that a number of smaller building societies are affected. I doubt the problem is with the sending bank. More likely that those smaller BSs have an issue with their incoming SOs

It's very odd, and trying to get anyone to take responsibility to look into is impossible.  Each organisation is saying it's the fault of the other  :s

    Raise complaints at both ends?

I'll get down to calling the 'offending' ones a bit later myself

At some stage, there was an official Skipton Rep active on this forum. May be track them down and ask them for help?

So your missing payments were all to Building Societies? If so, payments to them normally go through a third party bank. So what's the receiving Sort Code for the bank acting as intermediate for processing the payments to these Building Societies? I suspect that maybe the key to  the problem.
There are 3 different third party recipient sort codes, Barclays, RBS and HSBC.

If you have 3 different banks as recipients that have not received payments  would suggest the sending bank has the issue not the recipients

I suggest Barclays, RBS and HSBC.are contacted to confirm they received and processed the transactions.

I'd have hoped Skipton, Furness and Monmouth could do this as they'd know the route it's coming as they're using those third party banks via Halifax.
