Halifax - standing orders

All of the standing orders are from Halifax that are missing (I only mentioned HSBC, Barclays and HSBC as they're the TP bank that Furness, Skipton and Monmouth use).flo22 said:If you have 3 different banks as recipients that have not received payments would suggest the sending bank has the issue not the recipients0 -
I asked Halifax for a transaction number yesterday and they said as standing order there isn't a transaction code. Don't know if this is correct or not.Deleted_User said:
I understand every monetary transaction sent by a bank through BACS, Faster Payments and CHAPS will have some form of transaction ID to identify it. Your sending bank (Halifax in this case) should know what the ID is and are therefore probably in the best position to track your transaction through the appropriate payment system.10_66 said:
I'd have hoped Skipton, Furness and Monmouth could do this as they'd know the route it's coming as they're using those third party banks via Halifax.Deleted_User said:
I suggest Barclays, RBS and HSBC.are contacted to confirm they received and processed the transactions.10_66 said:
There are 3 different third party recipient sort codes, Barclays, RBS and HSBC.Deleted_User said:
So your missing payments were all to Building Societies? If so, payments to them normally go through a third party bank. So what's the receiving Sort Code for the bank acting as intermediate for processing the payments to these Building Societies? I suspect that maybe the key to the problem.10_66 said:So far there are 3, Skipton, Furness and Monmouth. I can't check postal yet until offices are open. I've phoned both Halifax and Skipton and both are saying nothing to do with them0 -
I had 7 Standing Orders paid out of my NatWest account yesterday. All arrived at their destination apart from the one to Skipton.flo22 said:If you have 3 different banks as recipients that have not received payments would suggest the sending bank has the issue not the recipients
Also, the Skipton SO was the only one using a common sort code and account number with my Skipton account number in the reference field.1 -

When I rang Skipton this morning they said they'd looked at their bank transfer search and there wasn't anything outstanding on it. Did they say what they're going to do?Daliah said:Skipton are on the case
Shame they didn't tell me this when I rang them first thing, it'd have saved this post then 🙄

My SOs to Monmouthshire and Chorley have now arrived, dated yesterday. I didn't ring them, so they sorted it by themselves. I am sure Skipton will eventually do the same. They appear to have difficulties with SOs each and every month. September was credited a day early, on August 31.The October SO was credited late in the evening on October 1, and the November SO is still in the ether.1
