Most sensible people will just shake their heads at that, and know that the only thing keeping that kind of belief alive is super low rates.Sunsaru said:
Shows what you know about that area. That's actually quite cheap for the area which makes me wonder what's up with it.Crashy_Time said:5 floors sounds cool, on the market for a year though also sounds overpriced.0 -
Ah yes, those super low rates that have been around since 2009! Wonder how much of a mortgage people would have paid off in those 12-13 years!Crashy_Time said:

Thanks all for your helpful comments so far.
I'd welcome your thoughts on this one that has just pinged into my inbox:
4 bed property for sale in St. John's Hill Grove, London SW11 - Zoopla
It is priced reasonably for the area (sorry Crashy), and its a nice street, but its a bit far from any greenery0 -
Much better than the last one. Definitely better value. Needs a bit of work by the looks of it though. Windows don't look double glazed for a start. Would make a lovely home with a bit of spit and polish though. Plus it's not too far from the commons and close to to BR. Worth a viewing at least.MandyMcG said:Thanks all for your helpful comments so far.

The thread is about someone buying now, totally different economic backdrop and interest rate expectations, back then they had plenty of room to cut rates, now not so much.hazyjo said:

I've booked a viewing for the weekend for this:
4 bed property for sale in St. John's Hill Grove, London SW11 - Zoopla
Seems to be a lot of people interested, so fingers crossed that it hasn't gone by the time I see it!!0 -

Bargain? 50k off the price so far, I actually feel sad for anyone trying to borrow money to buy this, hopefully any sensible lender will be "down-valuing" the sellers expectations considerably.0 -
I agree the photocopy that house is incredibly ugly. I used to live in one of the ugliest buildings just south of the river but didn't mind as I looked out to beauty and didn't have to see it myself. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
May you find your sister soon Helli.

It's rare I agree with Crashy but OMG! Is that different shades of green carpet cut-offs creating the "garden"?!?!? The red in the lounge and kitchen literally made my head hurt. And asking price is "offers over £800,000". I thought I'd seen it all...Crashy_Time said:https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/97529057#/?channel=RES_BUY
