~£100 per year for 5 years
That's a lot of money to have been throwing away.
There have been plenty(well a few) of PAYG options that would have been <£5 a year.
Cheap rates, no regular top ups and no credit expiry
3 data reward is still(I think) the lowest that costs, no regular top up, £2 min top up, no expire on 3pmin
regular 3 have put rates up and O2 classic was withdrawn for new(ebay had the last of them).
They have now been trumped by a totally free option for the low user.
As mentioned already the new(ish 2015) RWG,
not sure when the free option started, become quite popular on here this years
there is a mention on HUKD late 2020.
Seen a FB post from July 2019..

Thanks for the flood of advice.
Circumstances stopped me replying sooner to thank everyone.
I will certainly give vodafone a call Monday and get a pac, then look at one of the PAYG options mentioned in previous replies.
I’m normally on the ball for getting good deals , but the wife’s contract slipped through the net.
it’s easy to ignore things when you just pay them every month …well until they try and increase cost by over 100% :-)
I have found out something new medically in last 24 hours also.
it’s possible to rip a muscle by coughing and single mild cough at that.
I had a long drive last week (5 hours) and muscle to side of chest felt stiff/cramped after drive but cleared once I moved about. Then 20 hours later I coughed and I felt it rip. Never felt pain like it ….now calming down slowly but pain if I twist torso.
on pain killers ….
In my late 50’s and my back is very robust and never had back issues ever , well a small ache for a few hours if I have been doing heavy lifting in garden or garage etc …so this is new 😬
Thanks for the replies everyone
