Correct, it was at the end of minimum contract but they definitely told me I had been moved to a new contract because they "no longer offer the plan I was on" ... and so I lose the free Go Roam benefit and have to pay double the amount I had signed up to. All without any discussion, just a text to say "welcome to Three". The contract has continued (that's why you still have a service) but the terms have been changed to your detriment. If you don't like the terms you are now on and you can't negotiate an agreeable alternative with Three then cancel and go get a better deal elsewhere.
You are right to point out that people should be aware that terms may change at the end of minimum contract periods and it is generally true that such changes are rarely in favour of the customer.
They operate on the Three network but offer monthly contracts, data rollover, WiFi calling and roaming to 50 countries.
