No nuclear, 100s of years and 100s of billions to decommission.
Yeah but we won't be around then so who cares.  Same with burning fossil fuels.
    I think....

Important to think about what we leave behind.....we have a lot of different waste problems....

We are basically locusts on the planet destroying the majority of things along the way to our extinction.

No harm speeding it up with relighting the coal power plants.

The Earth has been hit by a proto planet the size of Mars which formed the Moon, been molten, frozen solid, hit by asteroids and comets, irradiated by a young star, suffered countless mass extinctions and it is still going strong after 4,600,000,000 years.

    Don't worry.

Yes the planet will go on without us, but you don't value your own health and that if your children's?

I am an advocate of building nuclear power plants until we can be self sufficient with green energy.

Nothing is going to happen in that timescale.
Anyway i am the one advocating no new nuclear.
I am all for switching to renewables.
    I just refuse to worry.

That's a great way to look at it, never occurred to me to look at it like that.
Unfortunately it's already affecting us but we are too stupid, misinformed, selfish, lazy or inconsiderate to change...

If they had continued with project Apollo instead of switching to the space shuttle we would already  have colonies on Mars and the Moon.
We should be a 3 planet species.

Renewables are not particularly an option that is beneficial to the environment. The land has to be cleared of all life, wind turbines last for 20 years, much of which waste has to be buried as it cannot be recycled. Nobody has the answer to the battery problem of EVs...... It's doom and gloom no matter how you look at it, probably best if P00tsie boy exterminates us all and the planet will be better off without us leaches.
