Hanging PC desktop tower on the wall

Thanks for the replies.I am looking at getting the printer off the floor also. I only have 63cm of outside wall to play with and only one of these can be put on it.The other would have to go on an internal wall IF it was to also come off the floor. Not sure whether it'd be such a good idea putting anything weighty on the internal wall though - everything seems to be plaster & lath here. Your opinions on that one?I had thought about monitor on the wall with something (printer/tower) underneath but decided against it. Right now the monitor on my desk is at an ideal height. With it on the wall it made me think of those who put their TV way above their fireplace & then end up with sore necks.0

You don't need to hang on the wall you can use timber upright to take the vertical loads.
Part of the issue will be trying to fit round your existing furniture when you really need to start from scratch.

I haven't owned a tower PC for a while, but when I did it was recommended to have space all around for air flow. Removing the side of the case may get round that requirement.

Or you remove the front door and drawer from your ikea desk.
Place the PC inside
Drill a large hole at the back of the desk for exhaust & cables.0 -
Have a solution but it depends...I could possibly put the tower on the desk to the far left, but not too far that it's tight up against the wall. Off a bit from it so air can flow at the rear (how much gap required?)The printer could then sit on a shelf mounted to the external wall above the tower. I already have the microwave brackets for it, i'd just never got round to doing it.This would then mean the monitor sitting smack bang in front of the window. I was never keen on this for 2 reasons1) How close it would be to me when i sit at the desk, but measuring it out it's only like 2cm closer than where it is right now.2) Summer & the heat this room gets. Could this have a detrimental effect to the monitor? The blinds are generally closed for the most part. Only slight gaps.0

Get better blinds.
You can get thermal protection ones to reduce heat uptake.
There are other options like window films.
Any cables at the back will give enough gap.
I rarely open the blinds in my office room.

get some "sky hooks". Ask at any building suppliers.1
