Armtrac Stennack Car Park St.Ives

I had a parking charge notice for this same car park from Armtrac a week following yourself for the exact same reason that the full reg no. was not on the ticket. I definitley double check i enter correct numbers before ticket is issued so am sure there was problem with the machine not printing the first 2 letters and showing blank spaces where the first 2 letters would be.
I have appealed and asked for list of any others charges issued around the same time for the same reason pointing to a machine malfunction.

Have you raised this with Trading Standards and your MP?

You won't get that but you and the iother poster should provide witness statements for each other, to help each other's cases through whatever stages are needed.

How about one or both of you showing your evidence to the nearest local paper for that car park?

Hi there !  Is this St Ives again???  If you want me to go and take some photos of signage let me know.  Also can someone remind me of the company’s registration number so I can have a look at it on Companies House.  

By the way, I am very interested in parking tickets on Dynamite/Lelant Quay (parking for Porthkidney Sands).  Should any crop up, please DM me.

Also if this is happening a lot at this particular carpark, I can raise it with Derek Thomas, MP who knows me (!).

An update today i received an email cancelling the charge and accepting that something had gone wrong and saying i had miskeyed (i hadn't and know i entered full reg. no.) But nevertheless i am glad i don't have to waste any more time fighting this.
I wonder if they know there was a problem with the machine?

Fancy trying to get this in your local paper? .. to see how many other people were affected by a clear pattern of system/keypad error. Not driver mistakes.  One would assume Armtrac may not have rushed to refund anyone silly enough to gave paid them.

Thank you so much, this is good news!   Sorry I’ve only just seen this, I’ve left it until now to put in the IAS appeal, just to hang it out for as long as possible. 
I’m sure they know they have a faulty machine and they are just trying it on. I thought it highly unlikely the driver would have done this.  

 Please can I ask when your parking charge notice was first issued and when you submitted your appeal, so I can add this to our IAS appeal that they are aware of a faulty machine.   (I put in our appeal to Armtrac on the 20th October and it was declined in the 1st November)

Hi,  thanks so much for your kind offer!  Hopefully it won’t be necessary if Loobyloo12345’s appeal outcome is anything to go by, it sounds like they know they have a faulty machine, so I will put something to this effect in the IAS appeal.  

I will let you know though.  As I know IAS are just as likely to turn it down!
