Walk in booster shots

It's not going smoothly for everyone but they have changed it to 190 days now after your 2nd vaccination , then you can book ( in theory ) or go to a walk in centre after the 190 days
Not saying it's impossible to get an appointment before that but I had to contact my local CCG and they put me in touch with the boroughs vaccination team by phone and within 10 minutes I had an appointment booked ( I was beyond 190 days )
The only thing I forgot to ask was if it is possible to get my flu jab at the same time as they are offering it to some people if they have it there and then
The phone number was engaged for ages but I finally got through and the woman I spoke to was absolutely LOVELY!!0 -
For those in Scotland you can check on your vaccination status page https://vacs.nhs.scot/csp?id=csm_login and there may be a future appointment set up - mine is for 25 Nov after my 2nd jab on 4th May - 205 days. Not had my blue letter.

When I tried to book mine at the end of September, I could book from 6 months and 1 day. Appointments were available just a few days ahead.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The problem we have (yet again) is getting a booster done in the home. MiL is not mobile and so needs someone to come to the house to give the jab.
The alternative is for both of us take a half day to get her out of the house, into the car, drive to the site, out of the car, into the place, jab and return. So while she is now 2 weeks beyond the 6 month mark we have no idea when she might get her booster. Apparently home visits are not even being planned yet. The best the surgery could guess at is "sometime in the next couple of months".
Now some might say (as they have said to me by the surgery) that there's little to worry about as MiL is homebound so isn't at risk. That might be true but she does have a carer who calls weekly who is out and about and making the rounds to who knows where the rest of the week. There's also me going into the office (hot house of germs) and OH who's also out and about to Tescos etc. So not so little risk of us picking something up that we might spread to her.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I would like to ask if anyone in Wales has been contacted within 6 months and couple days.
So far none of friends and relatives have had or been phoned etc one received letter to phone and given appt 2 weeks time - it will make it 6mth and 3 weeks.
Seems the number to phone when you get your letter is so busy one waited 45 mins for appt 2weeks ahead.
NHS England seems to be pushing forward.....wonder if a 40 min drive into England would make it easier to get booster0 -
