1. I can't find an account number for EN.
2. Any ideas what they will be taking for DD? With Igloo, it was mid £60s. Need to know as when I get paid later this week, I will keep what DDs are taken plus a £20/25 cushion and transfer the rest into my everyday account.

Just keep paying the D/Debit and do your monthly meter reading report to Igloo on the usual day until Eon tell you to do something different0

I would not recommend going on paying a defunct supplier anything. I was with Symbio, and cancelled my DD promptly. E.ON contacted me and requested a meter reading for 3 October. Their web site for ex-Symbio customers now says that meter reading submissions are closed, and they are setting up accounts. It's probably similar for ex-Igloo customers0

It looks like igloo have not (yet) cancelled the direct debit payment requests going forward. In my case the Octobers payment left my bank account yesterday (19th October) which surprised me to be honest. I phoned up Nationwide but they cannot accept a DD claim under the guarantee as igloo have ceased trading and to make matters worse the payment has not appeared on my igloo account. All seems a mess, I'm left concerned that money has left my account to a company that has ceased, is lost somewhere with their administrators and that my bank cannot help. I wish now that I had cancelled my DD earlier! I assume I'm not alone on this?1

Direct debits often do not appear on an account until several days after they are taken, presumably because there has to be confirmation that the debit has been made successfully. And there have been further delays with companies in administration. Several of us are in a similar position with DDs taken by Symbio. However the payment is protected and will almost certainly turn up on your records eventually, even if it takes longer than usual due to the administration process. If not, you have your bank statement and it will not be lost.gilbo2 said:It looks like igloo have not (yet) cancelled the direct debit payment requests going forward. I cancelled mine as had enough built up in credit to pay it. Spoke to Eon and they advised will simply get me to set up a new direct debit in due course.1

I've had the same although mine was taken at start of Oct, still not showing on my account. I suspect that money received after administration has to be ringfenced which could be why it's not showing up. I've been advised on another thread that it will appear with the new supplier but in the meantime I've cancelled DD so no more payments are taken. I'll just setup new DD with new supplier which will also allow me to change the account it comes from.gilbo2 said:It looks like igloo have not (yet) cancelled the direct debit payment requests going forward. Not been set up with an account yet with Eon Next coming from Igloo.briskbeats said:1. I can't find an account number for EN.

I'm guessing it will be soon, think I read somewhere around two weeks when they announced the taking on their accounts or thereabouts you'll hear.
TBH I couldn't give a whatsits what happens next, I've got money owed by Igloo to cover at least the next two payments. The price hike will happen, they'll most likely tell me they want double per month than I was paying Igloo bla de bla, all good fun, not.
To combat the price hike I've just done two bank switches for the incentives, every little helps.👍0 -
Cancel your direct debit, never owe money to a company going bust and never leave them with the ability to take from your wallet.0

Does anyone know the email address for igloo customers at Eon Next? I think one was set up. Thanks.0
