I too wpold admit to being the driver.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • Ok great, I will admit to being the driver then.

Re: GBP100 being an extortionate amount and a lack of significant loss/damages, should I remove that part or is it still worth including in a informal email to the site manager because we are appealing to their better nature after all? (Even though since Beavis it's not legally relevant)

    Or best omitted?

Personally I would admit to driving and definitely your complaint is missing the most important thing - that you SLEPT!
100% .... The OP was clearly tired and fell asleep

He obeyed government signs "take a break, tiredness KILLS"

These government signs do not warn anyone there is a time limit and that you could be attacked by a predator for sleeping to much

Nobody, even The Rt Hon Grant Shapps, MiNISTER of transport cannot say how long he will sleep for

And, even a tired judge on his way home from the county court after hearing from desperate legals about parking issues ...... would he accept this

    Omit it entirely.

  • Received email this morning from site operator saying he'll cancel it on this occasion. Do I wait a couple of days and then contact PE to check it's cancelled?

Thanks again for everyone's help. I sincerely hope these parking company scammers' business model isn't still operating years from now.

I believe if you go to ParkingEye's web site AS IF to pay but don't actually pay it, it will show as not found or £0.00

Yay! Please could you update the thread SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCs to encourage people always to complain to the retailer/MSA as a first step for any unfair PCN?

I think that thread is the first link in the NEWBIES thread and is also in the Forum Sticky by @Crabman.

  • I've updated the thread with my email to the site operator.

Just checked ParkingEye and my PCN isn't cancelled yet. Guess it takes a couple of days...

I've updated the thread with my email to the site operator.
    Thanks for doing that JD.
Can I ask the you add the email address that you sent the complaint to to your post on the successful complaints thread?
That information would be very useful for future complainants. Thanks.
  • No problem, will edit my post with email address.
