Turning right across white lines.
When approaching the mini roundabout is it legal to cross
the white lines and turn right directly
into the pub car park?
Conversely, if leaving the pub car-park is it legal to turn right towards the roundabout?

Highway Code, rules 129 & 130:129
Double white lines where the line nearest you is solid. This means you MUST NOT cross or straddle it unless it is safe and you need to enter adjoining premises or a side road. You may cross the line if necessary, provided the road is clear, to pass a stationary vehicle, or overtake a pedal cycle, horse or road maintenance vehicle, if they are travelling at 10 mph (16 km/h) or less.
Laws RTA 1988 sect 36 & TSRGD regs 10 & 26130
Areas of white diagonal stripes or chevrons painted on the road. These are to separate traffic lanes or to protect traffic turning right.- If the area is bordered by a broken white line, you should not enter the area unless it is necessary and you can see that it is safe to do so.
- If the area is marked with chevrons and bordered by solid white lines you MUST NOT enter it except in an emergency.

...which probably then leads on to the conundrum of whether it's legal to use a mini-roundabout to do a u-turn...0

That is not a conundrum. It is legal, though the HC tells you to avoid doing it.user1977 said:...which probably then leads on to the conundrum of whether it's legal to use a mini-roundabout to do a u-turn...
However, the roundabout in the picture is NOT a mini-roundabout, despite the signs.0 -
Ah, true, it's merely a small roundabout.[Deleted User] said:

As others have said, no you can't cross the solid white line to turn right into the car park, you need to proceed down to the roundabout and come back up.Laurence_Harvey said:When approaching the mini roundabout is it legal to cross the white lines and turn right directly into the pub car park?

Standish!!
Edit - no, due to the tiny tiny chevrons a right turn is not allowed but frankly the road markings with the stupid minuscule chevrons are obviously contrived and asking for trouble.0 -
But that isn't what the previously quoted extract from the HC says, is it?neilmcl said:

It seems to be saying that you can cross the solid white line "to enter adjoining premises", but what you must not do is cross (or "enter") the chevrons if they are bordered by a solid white line. (Unless of course you mean that you can't cross that white line because of the presence of the chevrons). Whether the HC accurately reflects what the law actually says is a debate I won't enter into.
I agree with jimbo6977 that those chevrons are hopeless and asking for trouble - I suspect many drivers don't even notice they're there. If I was driving along and wanted to go into the pub car park I'm pretty certain I'd just cross the lines and chevrons. It wouldn't cross my mind to do a 180 around the roundabout.1 -
People have issues at mini-roundabouts even adhering to the simple "give way to the right" principle, let alone giving way to someone indicating to go all the way around it and back the way they came! Absolute carnage.

I understand it as you can't cross double white lines where they are use to separate traffic, ie, they have chevrons/hatched markings as above, under any circumstance unless directed to by the police or in an emergency, so as I was referring specifically to the OP's pic my previous post was correct.Manxman_in_exile said:

Yes, I agree if it were a standard set of white lines then you can cross it to enter a property or side road.1 -
You can cross the lines to enter or exit the pub. You cannot cross them if you are continuing along the road. The lines are there to separate traffic lanes, nothing else.1
