forgotmyname said:Its like BW use a template or something because our paperwork is almost an exact copy of yours (strange that)
And yet your situation/circumstances are not related to ours in any way except its a parking/contract issue.
Must admit this ones nowhere near as easy as previous tickets I have helped people with. 1st one thats actually gone
to court. Chin up and keep slogging away.
Win and its all over, lose and you pay within 28 days and its all over.Question for you. Did you receive anything regarding the DVLA and how/when they contacted them for your details?
Not supplied with the SAR either, same with you?
I'm quietly confident, they have gone through my initial defence line by line. So much of it is waffle that I can prove is incorrect.
Do you have any idea of the format the hearing will take? Is it simply both parties make their statement then judge decides? I'd like the opportunity the go through there witness statement with the judge there
As the original PCN went to an address I wasn't living at, I didn't actually find out about the ticket until it went to Trace so they just mentioned NCP initially got details from DVLA and its my responsibility to keep my address up to date etc. Trace must have done a research at later date once I'd updated my address.0 -
Court tips are shown in the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread along with a video (assuming yours is an in-person hearing).
And search the forum for 'ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST' to read court reports about what happened when. Some people hardly have to speak and others do the usual, i.e. the Claimant's rep speaks first, followed by you (and yes you can tear apart their WS).PRIVATE 'PCN'? Never been to court before, only read stuff on here. Ours will be in person which was a surprise. Assumed it would
be a video one.
I watch a few legal channels on Youtube (BlackBeltBarrister) etc. A USA one is (Steve Lehto) he said you can do everything
right and tick all the boxes and yet it does not go your way. Not parking related but it does make me want to keep checking
the paperwork over and over to make sure we have covered everything.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1 -
Get there half an hour early to get through security and sign in with the Usher, as well as giving time for a comfort break first.
Refuse to chat to the other side's rep. Be polite, but say anything that needs to be said will be in front of the Judge.
