NEVER fill in the income and expenditure form.  This pre-action protocol is inappropriate and intrusive, treating people with a genuine dispute as 'debtors'.

Awful.  Longer term, I sincerely hope the Government address this once parking firms are regulated from next year.
    Thank you,

    1) do I need to do anything instead within the 14 days?

    2) And re my first point, respond with vc5? Thank you
    1) No

    2) Yes , plus copies of 2 recent redacted utility bills as proof of I D under the GDPR law , but not photo I D , not driving licence , not passport , not birth certificate , not date of birth , not phone number either , too intrusive !

Definitely do not fill in the financial forms , just because they are asking , doesn't mean that you must !! You don't have to reply at all , but you should do and say what Coupon mad said to do above. Do not dance to their tune , they are the enemy , not your friend

Hello, sorry I'm back - so I sent then my vc5 as ID and I got this in reply: We require the requested information to be confirmed within the chain of the email. This is because attachments can be removed at a later date, at which point we would be in breach of our data protection regulations. We hope this clarifies our position.

what should I do in response? Thank you

as long as you replied to their request and didnt send a new email ( a second email ) then I would reply with the attachments and say that it is within the chain, play them at their own game ( in other words, reply to their email, dont start a new one )

Hello to anyone that might be able to advise....

I have had this reply re the grace period proof. The signage is as they sent before - photos of sign and ticket displayed in car..

    Thank you

Thank you for your email dated 10 February 2022, the contents of which have been noted.

Please find the requested signage, showing the terms and conditions that apply to this car park.

Further to this, please find evidence attached that you car remained in the car park past the allowed grace period set out by the British Parking Association (BPA). You can see from the images that the ticket purchased allowed for parking up to 15:27, the timestamped photos clearly display that they were taken at 15:37, which is when the grace period ends. This is evidence enough that the vehicle was not removed from the car park before the grace period had ended, hence why the Parking Charge Notice was issued.

With this considered, our Client remains satisfied that the PCN was issued correctly and that you remain liable for the full balance of £160.00.

You are not at the defence stage yet are you?  If that is the case, just keep this info ready for when you are.  You need to read a few other threads where posters are arguing about lack of grace period.  They often cite the fact that the ANPR cameras are not synchronised or tested regularly or working on the day.  Another factor is that entry/exit to the car park is not parking, nor is driving round trying to find a space and that there was a traffic jam trying to leave their poorly organised exit.  Lots to go on.

    Haha!  Tenuous drivel.  Say so!

So there is a mandatory grace period of 'at least ten minutes' before a PCN can be issued (per the Code of Practice) and yet they took photos within that ten minutes, not outside of it!

Clearly the PCN was prematurely issued.
