You won't get confirmation of 30 days, why would they?  Just do what I advised, to the letter.
I have emailed BW Legal thats right? Not the parking co?

Is it likely to go to court from this point?

Thanks so much for your help!
With BWLegal it's always life in the fast lane, just hoping you are a mug.

Let's see what they reply with, most can be ripped apart anyway.
  • Hi all,

Yep, just redact any of your personal details.
  • Thank you here goes:

    Good Morning,

Thank you for your recent email, the contents of which have been noted on file.

We can confirm that we have placed the file on hold for a period of 30 days to allow you sufficient time to seek advice with regards to your current financial circumstances.

It is important that we hear from you or your authorised appointed representatives within the next 30 days with repayment proposals to settle this matter.

Please find enclosed the evidence of the Parking Charge Notice. The password for this folder is the Vehicle Registration for the vehicle in capital letters with no spaces. Should you have any issues opening this folder, please retry opening this document on a computer as other devices may have compatibility issues.

Please find attached images of the relevant signage that is displayed throughout the car park. This is attached as a close up proof and as an image of this signage in the car park.

Please note that Our Client regularly update the images of their signage when required and do not take images of them every day. Therefore there are not signage images time stamped to the contravention date.

Please note that the signage attached clearly states that ‘A PAY AND DISPLAY TICKET MUST BE PURCHASED WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF ENTERING THE CAR PARK’.

We can confirm that Our Client is a member of the International Parking Community. Our Client’s Parking Attendants follow their Code of Practice and are trusted to carry out their duties diligently and honestly. As such, we trust their observations and decisions to issue Parking Charge Notices.

The images of your vehicle were taken at around 15:37 on the contravention date, as you can see on the time stamps on the images. The ticket, also shown in the evidence folder, clearly states that the expiry time of this ticket is 15:27. This shows a clear overstay of at least 10 minutes when the PCN was issued. The ticket was valid from 13:27 on this date.

As a result of the breach, Our Client is well within their contractual rights to issue the Parking Charge Notice and the full outstanding balance of £160.00 remains due and owing to ourselves.

    What to do next

Our Client is willing to resolve matters with you on an amicable basis, however, this is contingent on you making immediate arrangements to repay the Outstanding Balance Due within 14 days.

If you cannot afford to pay the Outstanding Balance within 14 days don't worry, Our Client may be willing to accept repayments of the Outstanding Balance at an affordable rate each month.

    How to make payment

One of the quickest ways you can review your account is to register on our Customer Portal by visiting www.bwlegal.co.uk - on here, you can make payment or, alternatively, to propose a repayment plan in respect of the outstanding amount.

Alternatively, please call us today on 0113 487 0432 if you would prefer to discuss your account with one of our helpful team. We also accept payment by a variety of methods.

If you are in any doubt about the content of this email and/or require guidance/assistance on clearing the balance due to financial difficulties, we would advise you to seek free advice, alternatively you can obtain legal advice from a Solicitor.

    Kind Regards,

  • I can add images too of signage they have sent

I could take blurry image of a sign and then claim it says anything as per the final image above. Not just that, but the sign in the photo at the top looks different to the image they have provided at the bottom, there are definite differences between the two which backs up that assertion.

Thanks , do you think? I wasn't sure, should I question this alone. I'll be nearing the 30 day extension soon and unsure what I exactly need to do...any help very welcome. Thank you
  • Might anyone have time to guide me a little please? Thank you
