  • Would it even be prudent to ask them to provide evidence of who was driving as that’s required in Scotland, or will the fact it happened in Wales means it comes under Welsh law?

If you live in Scotland, they will find it difficult to chase you through the court as you are out of jurisdiction.  As you have sent a Data Rectification Notice they should realise they are onto a losing case.  Do not enter into any further correspondence as, if you inadvertently talk about the driver, they've got you.

Thanks mate. I’ve now sent the email, as I had typed though also included a note at the end advising if I’m emailing the wrong email address (I’m not it’s the one they supply on their privacy form) to advise me the correct one. Hopefully that’s the end of it.

Again, thanks so much for the advice!

    Good afternoon.
I’ve had a response to my data rectification email. I’ll post a screenshot below. They’re telling me to contact DRP. I assume I shouldn’t do this?
Thanks again for your help so far.

  • Somehow my screenshot ended up in the quote box, sorry, so I’ll post it below also.

I would be inclined to write to the Information Commissioners Office informing them that Local Parking Security Ltd are refusing accept and process a Data Rectification Notice.

Reply and tell them they are deliberately or negligently (or cluelessly?) missing the point.  Tell the clerk who replied to pass the comms on to their DPO to deal with your GDPR rights properly and to erase your old address immediately.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks to you both. There was no name on the bottom of the email, unsurprisingly. Here’s a response I’ve put together. Thoughts? I don’t want to say anything stupid or naive.

    Good afternoon,

I refer back to my previous email in asking this matter is referred to your Data Protection Officer to be dealt with in accordance with GDPR regulation. If this is not carried out I will be contacting the Information Commissioners Office informing them of a breach of GDPR regulation.

I will not be contacting Debt Recovery Plus Ltd as they are a contracted by yourself and any communication with them must be handled by yourself.

I look forward to your response. If I do not receive a response in 7 days with confirmation that the Data Rectification Notice has not been carried out inline with my original email then I will contact the Information Commissioners Office.

    Regards,
