When I get a quote on the website it’s still showing the tariff cheap energy club advertised.MWT said:Rev said:I just don’t get how they can be so cheap right now so not sure if it’s worth taking the chance and signing up.I suspect the tariff you are seeing is probably no longer available.A quick look at their website shows tariffs comparable to most others still available at the moment...The only tariff I get offered at https://living.ebico.org.uk/ is "Ebico Prime 12 Saver" with electricity at 25.8720p/kWh and gas at 6.6675p/kWh, both well above the Ofgem cap. What tariff are you being offered?

Nabuh (supplied by British Gas) offer a similar-ish deal depending on your usage
Discount tracker (for new customers):
Electricity: 18.5p /kWh & 23.8ppd
Gas: 3.1p / kWh & 32.2ppd
In all cases, these are indicative prices only as prices vary by region, so you will need to get a quote for your region.

I think it's refreshing to see an energy company winding down in a controlled manner, rather than collapsing in a pile of debt while the directors abscond to the Bahamas.

I saw a similar, if rather more legal, approach during the energy crisis in Texas where our supplier there was offering to pay a bonus ($200 if I recall correctly) to any customer who would agree to immediately switch to a competitor.

Does that fall under the auspices of an erroneous transfer?
If so, affected customers will be entiled to an automatic £30 compo (as well as being returned to their original supplier)

I wonder if Bulb/Scottish Power will be sending a bill to Omni to fund that?

I am with Omni & got a similar email to the OP, I am now wondering if they really are ceasing trading - I don't use much energy so maybe they view me as unprofitable! At the end of the email it says in small letters: "if you don't want to switch, do nothing & don't confirm with new supplier". So does anyone know if Omni are 100% ceasing trading or is it just a scam to get rid of "unprofitable customers".dbks said:
