I won a prize of a trip to Dubai in March 2020 with Chester RacesThis was delayed due to covid.
I have now been informed that the prize is cancelled,no alternative has been offered.
Have any forum members experienced this situation. What would the forum recommend.

As I mentioned in your previous post, (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6297097/competition-win#latest), contact the ASA, if they are not willing to substitute the prize for something of equal or greater value. Use the complaint form and the ASA/CAP can look into the matter for you, https://www.asa.org.uk/make-a-complaint.html. It is best to contact the company first, mention the fact that you will contact the ASA if they do not get back to you within a certain amount of time or fail to come up with a suitable alternative.Follow the instructions on Super Lucky on making a complaint to the ASA - https://superlucky.me/complain-asa/Not sure you got much help or advice in your post on the Coronavirus Travel Help & Info section.

I won tickets to a WWE event in May (or June) 2020, it was cancelled because of Covid, so they emailed me and said it had been rescheduled until November ... which was then also cancelled.
Now the guy I was talking to doesn't email me back. They do have shows later this year which presumably will go ahead, but not heard anything about getting tix for these shows.0 -
If it was me, I think I would send a fairly friendly email showing understanding of the difficulties that Covid has clearly bought them. I would then say something like, "I was thrilled to win, and really hope we can agree a fair alternative between us, as it's so much better that way, rather than involving anyone else. Please respond within four weeks". Remember, they almost definitely run competitions for promotion, so a friendly and subtle hint of a 'threat' that you will consider taking this elsewhere might make them want to do right by you. Keep a copy of all correspondence sent and received. If you don't hear back, or they don't offer you something acceptable to you, I would definitely follow Comping Rich's advice.

I really hope you get this sorted....what a great prize to win in the first place......for them to offer nothing is very bad on their part...Covid or not. Follow all the advice you have already been offered up the thread, I dont have any but just fight this till they offer you something......really not fair of them
