I have a Moto G5 (I think....) which cost £75 a couple of years back and my biggest problem is that the battery seems to disconnect occasionally.  So battery showing at 30% and then goes dead.  Start to charge it and it shows it still has 30%.

I normally charge it every single night but I am a fairly heavy user.  Best to go with another brand I think.  I will on next purchase.

no smart phone battery will last more than 3 days.

What's the problem with charging every 2/3 days. It only takes less than an hour on fast charge

If you are not near  electricity carry a small power bank

The Moto G9 Play has a big 5000 mA battery one of the biggest for the budget

I also second the Moto G series phones for long battery life smart phone.  The POWER version have the slightly larger battery than the more regular versions, but only yesterday I purchased my wife the G9 play with 5000 mA battery (to replace here aging G5) - £100 in Argos sim-free.  An excellent product and great value.

Having said that, we only expect 3 days between charges even with that option.  Much better than many of the high-end phones that need daily (or more) charging.  The G9 may stretch to 4 days if the phone sits idle much of the time (or switched off overnight).

I really don't think you will find a phone with longer battery life, especially not for the money.  Maybe buy the phone and carry several power banks as well.

If you only want calls, texts and WhatsApp then this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07XPCH6G3?tag=pcad03-21&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1&ascsubtag=06-3641218-05-3799865
    should do the job.

    But smart phone it’s not.

I like my Moto G8, the OP needs to look at the size of the battery, how long it lasts depends on what apps are installed and how much they are used.
I generally recharge mine every couple of days, even a laptop needs recharging with heavy usage.

I second Moto.  I swapped my G6 Play which had a very good battery life for a G10 which is even better.  The only downside across the Moto range is the lack of a compass function, unlikely something that will worry OP :)

    poco X3 here

i can get a day with pretty heavy use including games which are a battery killer.
just charged upto 100% it says.

    44hr
    68hr with battery saver
    412hr(17days) with  ultra battery saver

not tried them so don't know if realistic, light use days probably <30% used.

Could get more out of it if I turned off some apps that are active, use dark screen mode and suppress screen for notifications.

For really light use where I don't care about certain times like asleep can schedule off/on time
  • Poco X3 NFC here. Just checked and the installed battery widget suggests an average 7+ days between charges.
Not a heavy user, e.g. games, watching videos etc. and sometimes powered off overnight. Now at 30% with 13 hours remaining. 5160mAh capacity with 33W fast charging.
