One needs a working UHF TV aerial to use a Freeview PVR... 
Freeview Play being the latest ones with backward EPG link to catchup services on some channels.  Unless the OP has one that needs factoring into the equation.

The latest Freesat 4k recording box can use the $ky Q lnb though.  (But no Channel 4 in HD on Freesat).

ITV hub on Sky is advert free.

Use Brave Browser and it skips the adverts on ITV Hub or it did the last time I used ITV Hub with Brave.
