Octopus welcome email for Avro customers mid switch

Has anyone who is in the middle of a switch to Avro had a welcome email from Octopus yet?

    I was due to switch over the day they went under 😯.  I haven’t received an email yet. I did check with So Energy and on my account they were no longer my provider, and Avro was. It was too late to back out of the agreement as the 14 days cool off period had passed. One concern I have is that I gave a starter meter reading the day before for my electricity but it wouldn’t take my gas reading. I took a photo of both anyway. So no email, perhaps today ? 
  • Could be. In my case my switch date is imminent but the Avro site won't take a reading and Octopus have not emailed me. So I've got no-one to supply an opening reading to.
  • Yes the same with me. I have energy and no idea who is supplying it ! Perhaps Octopus have emailed first all the people who have completed switch overs and the people in the middle such as you and I will be contacted next ? All I can suggest it take a photo of your meter readings as  evidence of your change over day. If I don’t hear in the next day or two I will be contacting Octopus

     Yes - a family member made the switch to EDF - 12 hours before AVRO ceased trading, got the EDF acknowledgement and contract number. Yesterday, received the welcome email from Octopus. Assumption is Octopus will be the SoLR until the EDF switch completes on 02/10/2021
  • I officially switched from EDF to AVRO on September 24th - 1ST DD taken on September 15th. Still waiting to hear from Octopus and have not been able to give final meter readings to either AVRO or Octopus. EDF also took a DD payment from me in September  but unable to provide a final bill or reimburse me until they receive this meter reading from AVRO or Octopus. I have just emailed Octopus to clarify. Bit concerned that others have received the welcome email and I haven't!

  • Octopus have now said that they have emailed all customers mid-switch to Avro at the time of their collapse but I didn't get anything.

    Anyone else?

    Same here, I wonder how many has received an email from them today. My switch date was for 1 October.
    i have now received my welcome email.
    However the link on their email won’t let me enter the final meter readings into the Avro site.
