My Nectar Prices

The first week of offers were spot on, all things I'd bought more than once.
This week out of 5 offers, 4 seem random (as far as their algorithm goes) and 1 I have bought in the past.0 -

With pasta sauce it's possible their algorithm has decided because you buy pasta but don't buy pasta sauce, that a special offer on pasta sauce is suitable.
Incidentally this wasn't on the app but one of those paper vouchers from the self service till. I only went in for one item (out of stock in Aldi) so CBA to get a Smart reader.0 -

If you live in a town without a Sainsbury's but might be visiting a town with one, then you have no way of checking in advance if you can use the promotion, other than to phone the store.0

The NectarPrices offers seem to renew weekly, with a couple of days overlap of both weeks, for me on Thursday and Friday, like the Nectar points offers also do.
I've been rather surprised that some items are appearing in both offer lists at once, even if only for the two overlap days.

Catplan said:It’s a bit meh to be honest, some of the products I’ve never bought. Some you can get cheaper when in store offer. Example I have some popcorn for £1.84 it’s currently £1.50 on the shelf for everyone, the cat food i get when it £3 usually £4, they’ve given me it for £3.50……I did get 30p off my bacon and 22p off sausages and 59p off frozen chips. They applied in multiple as well but it looks like they can limit this if they wish.0

Interesting time last Sunday at Wakefield Trinity Walk - the smartshop wand scanners had a popup saying "your personalised prices are unavailable, we'll issue you with a voucher later if you buy any", and then took a good couple of hours for my Nectar bonus points to appear on the statement too.

Most of MNP offers I have/had are things I don't buy - pasta sauce as full of sugar and rubbish, cream slices - don't like the type of pastry used and pears - don't like them.0

I had some MNP offers starting yesterday.
One item is no longer stock in the shop, and it isn't on the website either.
What is more, the replacement item is a different weight but was still shown with price and weight shelf stickers for the previous version. In addition, the new item isn't on the website either.
Another item was reduced in the MNP offers from £2 to £1.60, but none in stock the next day. However all the other flavours were reduced to £1.25. Why advertise it at £1.60 to folks with the Nectar app, when it is known the price is going down in another promotion to £1.25 anyway?
It strikes me various departments in the company aren't talking to each other.0 -
I've been reading all the complaints about the technical challenges of dealing with the various Nectar offerings and I sympathise! In my case, the Nectar Prices offered to me are quite favourable but actually getting the advertised price has proven to be a real nightmare. So far, it seems that when I scan and purchase the items via the SmartShop App I do get the prices, but I don't get the Nectar points that I am supposed to be awarded when purchasing them. Has anyone succeeded in getting Nectar Prices and Nectar Points at the same time? I'd love to know how! Many of the items come with Nectar Price discounts and Nectar Points but it seems impossible to get both of these at the same time.0

You should be able to, the terms say you can get both.
But two different methods to get the offers, no?
With nectar prices you use the app / handheld thing to get the price, the points offers you need to save in the nectar app before you purchase them to be awarded the points.
Are you saving the points ones in the nectar app to get the points and are they also showing in the smart shop app?
Both offers should show in the app, the points ones first then the price reduction ones near the bottom
