I’m still in my first 14 days with avro, is it wise for me to cancel?

Yes cancel as you're within your 14 day cooling off period, get confirmation your switch has been cancelled then decide whether to stay on EDF's standard variable rate, sign up to a fixed tariff with them or move to a new supplier preferably a big company as a lot more smaller companies could go bust in lead up to xmas.1

Contact EDF and see if they can block the switch.

i’ve got 10 days to pick a new tarrif still so i’ll do that after i’ve stopped this transfer1 -
I am waiting to hear back from EDF as I have an online tariff, was due to switch to Avro on 29th but they’ve already taken a D/debit

edf are unable to block it for some strange reason so i’m on hold with avro now…..
can imagine their lines are heaving at the moment
