At my local authority we just accept a letter from the non dep confirming they have nil income.
This not for local authority , it is for Pension Credit.

Hi sheramber, think there might be a little confusion going on as the request is from the council (LA)?Nothing to do with DWP.

That's reassuring that they will accept the written word of the ND at face value.

             No.

If you read the opening post, it states  "have received a letter from the council wanting to know updated details regarding my income as the non-dependant."

         The benefit for which a
non-dependant deduction is being made is Housing Benefit.

Housing benefit is administered by the LA.

The OP's query does not concern Pension Credit (PC), it is about Housing Benefit (HB)

The only relevance of PC is that it passports the claimant to automatic HB.
Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.

I was going by the statement     My parents are on Pension Credit  so assumed   the query related  Pension Credit.
