Surely the 5p/15p Octopus Go / Go Faster tariffs can't be sustainable in the near future?

Looking to move to Octopus Go Faster from British Gas. How do i apply for it?

I rang the Octopus Customer Service line and the advisor emailed a link to me for Octopus Go, which is not the same as Go Faster tariff. Any suggestions/help please?

Sign up via Octopus Go link initially follow stages including signing up to interim tariff, useful guide for when a customer :)

I've no idea if this is a temporary issue with octopus go but I've just switched to it from M&S energy(octopus) and my quote was 15.33p for the day rate. Looking at my account now it's showing dynamic day rate of 23.76p.
I hope this is temporary and not a new rate for the Go tariff?

EDIT: Looks like it is the new go pricing and they've not updated the quotes...

Well looks like I might be staying on the Variable tariff, unless I can convince Octopus Customer services that they offered me ~15p when I signed up to switch 10 days ago and so that's what they've got to offer.
Although it also looks like Go Faster is still the lower rate? Could you @potts8 ask to switch to that instead?

That was my plan to move to the go faster tariff but apparently you need to wait 30 days on the GO tariff before you can "GO faster"

Why would it be temporary? Despite BJ trying to say that everything is fine and the gas price hike will be short lived, suppliers clearly have a very different view of the longer term. Go/Go Faster were much cheaper than EV offerings from EDF et al, so this hike is not totally unexpected.

Interestingly , I cant see the GO tariff at all under my postcode, is it limited by region?

On all tariff list, filter facility have to tick boxes fixed/smart - 23.72pkwh is identical rate as Standard fixed rate tariff my region, as is S/C rate

I was meaning a temporary rate showing in my account(as it warns you may be on a temp tariff) before it switched to the 15p I was quoted for GO.
The hike certainly isn't unexpected however I woul expect a live quote to be correct seconds before clicking the confirm button for the switch.
