Hi all, I have read your stickies but I am still confused. I suffer fron anxiety and depression so I am asking for help and advice and not criticism.
I have received the attached in the post which goes back to an unscrupulous pcn in 2019. I contacted Peter Fisher at Parking Fines Ltd who was originally dealing with it with which I sent all the information to him about. He assured me that it was all being dealt with and I had to do nothing else.
Today I received the letter from Empira. Anyone who can help me with this I would be grateful as I am starting to panic a bit.
Many thanks
Daniel

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2

The CCJ will not be registered for at least 30 days after the judgement is made, and if you pay within 30 days of the judgement being made, the CCJ will never appear on your credit records.
If you wanted to defend the court action, but didn't receive any nofication of it, you may be able to have the judgement set aside, but only if you can persuade the court that you had a defence that you wanted to put to the court.
For the cost of the debt demanded now, you should consider whether paying it could be a good option for you. If you are within the 30 days of the judgement, it might be easier to pay than fight.
If you have home insurance with legal expenses cover, give the legal helpline a call for advice. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.2 -

Thank you for the reply, how do I know the date of the judgement?

Call the CCBC in Northampton and ask them when the judgment was issued; the ref number 101295 refers. The number is shown in your letter.2

What about the letter stating paid in full in 14 days? I only received it today and it is dated 14th September!
